I'd give you a run for your money <3

(Also remember (as a happy frequent reminder, I know everyone here would, as they’re good people <3 <3 <3)) that if you have it all, or any finished or loved fansubbs, please plan to pick up the official release when you can, its good etiquette and supports the industry ^^.
Fansubbs are great, but only when the power isn’t abused. )

Oh dearies, did you pay for the fansubbs? That's not good..... ;_;

I finally finished the series on youtube and man my head is twisted from it. I wonder how it will end or resolve in the movie... I love the series style, and the whole messed up romance thing that went on between Dante and Hohenheim, along with the musical theme, was amazing. The whole underground city element reminded me of Zelda just now...one day I will fully explain what I liked. I love how seemingly big conflicts on the surface become eclipsed by what lies beneath the entire time...I could talk about this and the styles and what it links to in my head for hours.

Hey- are they ever gonna come out with a boxed set of DVDs for FMA? I've been looking for one, and it'd be a lot cheaper than buying 12 DVDs one by one (I already have vol. 1 and the movie).

I just secured myself a copy of the FMA movie limited edition DVD. I won't be watching it yet, though, because I still have to finish the FMA tv series. I'll be getting the official FMA DVD box sets when they come out in the next few months.

My friend and i just watched the whole series plus movie for the third time and and something just jumped out and yelled rip off.  I love this series but every charter in this series is a rip off of a x-men character.  are we the only ones who have noticed this so?

Ed=Wolverine
Al=Colossus
Roy=Pyro
Kimbly=gambit
Lust=lady death strike
Gluttony=blob
Envy=morph or Masteqe
Dante=Apocalypse (lives forever)

There are more but i cant remember anyone notice this?

Wow, never noticed that before but there are a lot of similarities in the powers those characters have...

Love this series!
(How did I not find this thread sooner?!  o.o)

Anyway, I've watched it like five times through, and watched the movie just once.  Not too much of a fan of it.  Seemed like too much fanservice to me.  This sounds awful, but I think Ed and Alphonse should have stayed seperated  >w<  'Course I'm one of those people that like watching their favorite characters being tortured (emotionally...not physically.  That just makes me cringe.  And not in the good way...)

------

I have a shoe box of FMA memorabelia (sp?), and it is my love.  The contents of it will be discussed later...if anyone wishes to know  >.>  <.<

------

I also have the manga series.  Now, I'm usually leaning more toward the graphic novels than the anime, but not so with FMA.  I like the anime more 'cept for the awesome things they had to/decided to change from the manga.

I love the anime as well and i didn't know that there was gonna be a movie until I ended up seeing it in theaters with my best friend

I think the ending of he movie was pretty good and to me Al had the right to get his brother back I mean for I think 6 years he either didn't have his body or his brother when they were so close they deserved to be back but Ed still missing his arm

Well, I mean, it was good for them to be together again, but it just had an all-around Mary-Sue-ish feel to it  =/  I don't like series like FMA to come together all nice like that.  Its not one of those series that really SHOULD have a clean ending.  At least it doesn't feel like that to me.

FMA is what really got me back into anime. when  i was just a kid i whatched DBZ, yu yu hakusho, and rurouni kenshin but i never really heard the words anime and i just classified them asd cartoons i guess. when i moved and got my own room with my own tv i stayed up late once cause i was bored and i whatched FMA and after that, i stayed up every friday and saturday, and every weekday i could when i was on break to watch anime. thats my story. boring isnt it lol.
