Pretty easy...I like, find instant messaging REALLY annoying. I'll be doing something else (Reading, watching shtuphz...whatever) and this sickeningly enthusiastic little sound goes *doodiidoot* and A message is in my way. Then I'm obligated to talk....I'll feel bad if I have nothing to say...I hate to be the first one off, or tell the other person I have to go (I feel impolite-like)

For me, talking to people and socializing is fun....But stressful-ish, when I'm at home,-In the middle of making bread-or just reading, I don't want to talk to people (IM feels like nagging to me...I'm weird). So I never sign on. Ever.  So I only post here, And on LJ every two or three months (That's just 'cause I'm lame ^^;).

I think I'll give AIM another try, but only for like...A half hour...Just to see...I'll work my way up from there...(What is this? Hot coal walking? Acupuncture?)

Y'know... I can sort of relate to that... usually when I'm at home, I'm on AIM, but I have an away message up for some reason or another. (And it's not because I'm actually "away", because I never leave my computer.) I just don't feel like being pestered by those people who just keep talking... and talking... and talking... even though they have nothing to say.

But for some reason, I feel obligated to stay online and see which of my friends are on. I guess I feel like I need to make up for my complete lack of face-to-face social interaction. -_-;

XD I know how that is. I'm online whenever I'm not in class (or sometimes when I -am- in class [*coughprogrammingcough*]). I can't help it. I'm an internet junkie! I normally forget to use away messages when I run to another room or the phone rings or something, though I pretty much only use them for when I'm asleep (uber-nerd) or when I'm at work or went grocery shopping or something. Other than that I don't use them because everyone who IMs me frequently isn't the type to chat my fingers off. XD I like talking to people through IM! I can't help it if I can type better than I can phone speak. ^^;

Edit: ...Though you might not know it from that long, mildly confusing paragraph I just wrote.. >.> Darn math exam fried my brain again...

Hahaha...for me, that's Legal Studies...and Process Management...and MIS...and...yeah, pretty much any class where I can get a live wireless signal.  Sometimes it's a bit touch-and-go in the business school building.  I can't help it, I've gotta have something to keep me awake during my 9am classes!

To remind everyone what we were originally discussing in this message thread:

It's been attempted to pre-gather people to beat online forum member records on other forums and has failed on most occasions...but I believe that this community is frequented by enough people to make it possible for us! Who's with me for setting a date and time to see how many people we can get on the board at one time?! =D It could almost be like a chat! This could be our little party thread! ^_^ Let's beat 20 people at once! BOOYAKA!

Well, It's January.  The holidays are over and it's a month where not much gets planned to occupy peoples' time.  I think that this would be a good time to try and set the plan into motion.  Last time, it happened during on a Monday at about 4:00 PM, so we might as well shoot for the same time unless someone has a better idea.  What do you guys think?  Shall we try to break the record?

Yes... that time was a bit early, and I was actually a little surprised that it happened at 4:00 PM. Perhaps if we bump that time to 6:00 PM it would work.
