At the time, accommodating means:
Monday to Friday at 4:00 PM
Monday to Thursday at 10:00 PM
Saturday at... um... at some time when the Miyazaki films are now showing

And I don't know what has happened in terms of the heavy editing.  I haven't been keeping up with that show either since (at the risk of evoking the wrath of the pirates) I'm not a fan of "One Piece".  I'm a fan of "Full Metal Alchemist" though - some of the popular titles I like.

Pardon my double post... seems I'm always the one to update this thread every now and then.
I heard from Ameria-chan that "One Piece" has been taken over by Funimation.
That's all that I heard.

Yes! It has! They're hiring new voiced for the dub.
Initially, they're starting off from where 4kids left off, but they'll go back and re-due everything at some point. Also, they're putting it out uncut (YEEEESH!) so people will actually buy it now.

Wow...someone actually cares about the voice dubbing? Dear lord...the world of anime might actually be making PROGRESS!!!

One piece is still a good anime, wether the new voices are good or not ^_^. Good story line it has

I have a question: is Cartoon Network showing these new unedited episodes on Toonami (10:00 PM Saturdays) now?  The episode they just aired tonight was called:
"Steer for the Clouds:
Capture the South Bird"

EDIT Yes, it must be, I saw "Funimation" in the credits

Alas, only when the contract for DVDs/those eps or whatnot with 4Kids is done. The production people seemed really anxious about the original episodes too, they just can't do them yet.

But the new dub is GREAT! It's made me so happy. ^^ Especially keeping the original songs but dubbing them. They picked the second to best option (the first being keeping the original Japanese), but I can understand why and they picked the best people to sing them.

I haven't seen the re-dub yet. But I'll be sure to let you know what I think. I'm kinda excited. ^^
