I wish I could have seen you and Steve perform!! Everyone's saying such great things about you two, I'm jealous not to have heard you myself. ::pout:: Do you know if you guys are gonna have short video clips posted in the Downloads section? I'll settle for that for now....

Oooh and I've got an unrelated question. I keep reading Otakon topics and this "dead guy" keeps coming up in the posts. Was there really a dead guy? o_O What happened to him?!

^_^;; I dunno what Jay's gonna do with the video he took.

And..er...ah..the dead guy....yeah... ^_^;; I wasn't exactly there at the time, but...I trust them not to be kidding about that sort of thing, so the most I can tell you is 'yes' and 'I'm not really sure'... That, and all of us are going straight to Hell. -.-;

Yes, there was a dead guy....

it was Friday night after the show, and we were all hungry, there were a bunch of mishaps as it was so we just wanted some food and then to go back to the hotel.

As we walked across the street, mike and I were talking, theres a guy getting slapped around, by some other guy, they guy who's being slapped, slumps over in his chair, while the other guy looks at him now being slumped over, looks at us, and runs away.

Michael then looks, and watches, sees he's not breathing, or moving, or anything. Looks at me, and says Oh my gosh, that man is dead.

We go inside the bar, and tell the bartender/owner of the place, as we start to go back outside to the dead man, michael spills a womans beer, and she goes hey! I tell her, Um, theres a dead guy outside, she says, oh, well ok.

WE go back outside, and the owner starts slapping him, yelling at him, while the dead corpse doesn't move at all. he just stays slumped over.

She moves the dead man's hands up , trying to take a pulse, and says, I think he's ok... As soon as she lets go of his hands, they immediately go right back into the same position as they were before, as riggamordis had already set in. She looks at him one more time and says, He's fine. and runs back inside.

AT which point, we now decide, we better go tell the cops. So we see a county police car driving by, michael immediately flags the car down. and tells the cop that the dead guy is right here, can we get some help? he replies to mike, Sorry, This is out of my jurisdiction. You should call 911. and drives off. To which mike and I were like, WHAT THE HECK!!?!?!? Mike says, Whatever happened to protect and Serve!/?!?!?

We go call 911. They tell us, sorry we can't do anything cause he's on private property. The bar owner has to call before we can claim the dead body.

So we decided to get the heck out of there, as we walked a bit further up the road, we saw a constable. We told him what happened, and said he's getting beaten up. THe constable tells us, well he's dead, so it's not like he minds. Don't worry about it.

To which as soon as we left, I busted out Laughing, because this was just too horrific and insane. I mean, a man LITERALLY Keeled over, and NO ONE was gonna help him..

Which made us realize that We could murder someone and drag them to someone's lawn and be long gone before it was reported. LOL

so that's the story of the dead guy. Got it Venus? It was a very LONG night.

I'm terribly sorry that you had to go through that. I really REALLY am; I shouldn't have asked. I'll be quiet, now.

First off, let me just say I'm sorry you all had to go through that.
But, I just have to say that not everyone in Baltimore is like that! Some of us are really decent people!

Welcome to Baltimore!  Ranked 8th most dangerous city in the US :D ...it was 2nd in 2002, this from:
http://www.morganquitno.com/cit04pop.htm
That's why I carry around a knife and other guys with knives who have black belts when I go to the con....I need to get a pair of throwing knives
The most fundamental tuba tradition is togetherness. Tubas are pack creatures, roaming in groups. Usually whenever you see one tuba, there are more to follow.

I love the University of Delaware Tuba section!

Well... I still say Harlemcon will be safer...

now after hearing that a piano squall poster was stolen...

my opinion isn't getting higher...

LOL, but honestly I can understand that You can't blame the con and the town for a couple of bad things. it just kinda all happened to us... and us only.... lol

Kinda like a comedy of errors.... ? except all the errors we got to see.
My favorite quote was :

"Well look at it this way, it can ONLY get better" And then it started downpouring.

which made me laugh once more. lol

as for carrying a knife.... A chocobo wielding a knife would be funny I think...

wark wark...
