Need help from people who know...
« on: August 16, 2008, 10:18:54 PM »
Okay, so I've decided to instead of suck off of other people's arrangements like a bottom dweller, I would try to contribute to the society by arranging my own. I just finished and arrangment of "Lullaby for you" from The World Ends with You.

Now, my problem comes in here:  I used good ol' staff paper and a no. 2 pencil for arranging this piece 8) and now need a way to get this thing on to the web. So I was wondering if there is a FREE program I can you to so I can get my arrangement to the people. I know there's things like Finale, but those are just way too pricey for my budget. The other problem is that I have a Mac. :( So the program needs to be compatible with my system.

If there is such a thing that you might know of please let me know! Thanks! :D

There's the free Finale NotePad that you can try. It's a stripped down version of Finale and not the most user-friendly notation software, but it gets the job done. An alternate is Overture from GenieSoft. The most current version is not free, however, I have an older version of Overture, and although it's outdated, it is quite easy to use compared to Finale NotePad. I currently use it to create and edit sheet music. Let me know if you want to try it and I can try and send it to you. I don't know if the older version of Overture works on a Mac, though. :)

Actually a friend of mine just sent me a program known as Seņor Staff. It pretty annoying to use but it seems to work. Thanks though!
