Anime returns to the Sci-Fi Channel
« on: July 26, 2008, 01:05:14 AM »
Recently, the Sci-Fi channel has returned to its practice of airing anime.  And I think it's about time.  I don't know why they didn't bring it back sooner... Cartoon Network has had success with many of its anime shows. I hope Sci-Fi has success as well and keeps this going.
So, I'm not quite sure what anime has been aired on the Sci-Fi Channel thus far, but I know this:
This coming Monday, Gurren Lagann will start airing on that channel.
I've heard good things about that anime, and I'm anxious to see it.
I've also heard in the not too distant future, they'll be airing Gundam 00.  So we have some good shows to look forward to.

Gurren Lagaan pwns and I hope the dubs are decent and that enough people watch the anime. To be honest i was kind of torn during it going to scifi because of adult swims popularity which to me seemed a double edged sword. Because yes people would watch it and go wow the stuff i wathc isn't really that great this, this here is what anime should be like. Yet i don't want fans to ruin it like portal.

Oh yeah i challenge all of you to a galaxy fight!

*Sigh*
The Gurren Lagann dub wasn't bad.... but Kamina's voice wasn't quite right. Also, a lot of pronunciations were weird. Especially "she moan" (Simon) becoming "see moan"

Also, I couldn't help but laugh when Kamina said "shenanigans" in the first episode
Picture is me from Otakon.... I didn't really have any decent pictures at all <_<
