i'm uncomfortable with the thought that he posted this just after my post.

Sorry, I didn't mean that I was implying that you're a sociopath (are you?). I was just posting that 'cause it was somewhat uncommon and I'd just looked it up.

Catharsis [kuh-thahr-sis]
n.   pl. ca·thar·ses (-sēz)

   1. Medicine Purgation, especially for the digestive system.
   2. A purifying or figurative cleansing of the emotions, especially pity and fear, described by Aristotle as an
effect of tragic drama on its audience.
   3. A release of emotional tension, as after an overwhelming experience, that restores or refreshes the spirit.
   4. Psychology
         1. A technique used to relieve tension and anxiety by bringing repressed feelings and fears to
             consciousness.
         2. The therapeutic result of this process; abreaction.

[New Latin, from Greek katharsis, from kathairein, to purge, from katharos, pure.]

Video games, anime, and this site tend to be a type of catharsis for me.

Extra Quote:
"There is also this benefit in brag, that the speaker is unconsciously expressing his own ideal. Humor him by all means, draw it all out, and hold him to it." -Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

Impetus [im-pi-tuhs]
–noun, plural -tus·es.
1.  a moving force; impulse; stimulus: The grant for building the opera house gave impetus to the city's
     cultural life.

2.  (broadly) the momentum of a moving body, esp. with reference to the cause of motion.

Many people probably already know this one but since I just barely learned it and it's quite useful, I'll put it here none the less.

Since I missed a few days....

Obviate [ob-vee-eyt]
–verb (used with object), -at·ed, -at·ing.
to anticipate and prevent or eliminate (difficulties, disadvantages, etc.) by effective measures; render
unnecessary: to obviate the risk of serious injury.

This one I also find quite useful, albeit, a tad uncommon in some circles.

retcon
/ret'kon/ retroactive continuity.
The common situation in fiction where a new story "reveals" things about events in previous stories, usually leaving the "facts" the same (thus preserving continuity) while completely changing their interpretation. For example, revealing that a whole season of "Dallas" was a dream was a retcon.

Honestly it just an amazing thing that I enjoy to do in nearly anything I write and was actually (still is) a possible title for one of my stories.

God saying that aloud fees so god damn fake. Yet admitting it feels real. So I feel real admitting I am a fake or at least feel fake. But if the real feeling is fake then if i feel fake yet its... I'm just gonna stop.

**Edit (note i copied def from Dictionary.com for correctness) Isn't Dallas a city? Oh it was a soap that stopped in "91. You know for a term like retcon which as far as I knew was Internet borne I find a reference to a soap is just funny I mean use like a classic book i mean authors have done it *cough Lewis hack* so why use that and even then to keep up with people who are using the site. I wonder if they monitor traffic to find the highest use age base and monitor there references and quotes.

Not to say anything but reading that over I feel like I just read an xkcd rejected idea.

Wow the Internet is serious business according to spellcheck it should be capitalized.
