Composition for a game
« on: April 10, 2008, 07:30:42 AM »
Seems I haven't bothered this here forum with this yet --

A while ago, I got an offer from a fellow student who was working on a game - he needed a soundtrack. I agreed, happily to try my luck. Besides the fact that he gave me 7 days for 7 pieces, I'm rather happy with how it came out. I was going for a snes-y feel; nothing in the direction of Shimomura or Tallarico, although that is the goal, somewhere off in the distant future. I'd love to hear from y'all though, so ... here are three of the songs:

Sounds good. I'd tone down the flute sound in the credits though (at around 11 seconds in) since it's covering up the rest of the song pretty badly.

I do see the SNES influence, it does sound like it could have been from a lesser known RPG (Equinox,  maybe Illusions of Gaea) and if that was your goal you did a spot on job.
