question on TANK!
« on: March 06, 2008, 01:58:09 PM »
Hello!,

I do actually have a question on playing the TANK! arrangement. I only took piano lessons very briefly when I was a kid, so I'm guessing I just don't know a lot of techniques. Can anyone tell me how I am supopsed to play all of those notes at the same time at the beggining on TANK!?

I'd really appreciate it, thanks!,

If I'm reading it right, on both hands where your thumb is, use your thumb to hit the F and G natural that fall closest to it.

F3 and G3 for the left thumb, and F5 amd G5 for your right thumb. Once you do that it'll free up your other fingers for the other notes. However, it is still a very wierd stretch, and if you're not used to it, IT WILL HURT...

I play and I can tell you, when you're not used to the stretch, it takes a moment before it'll feel comfortable.

Side note: I almost didn't know what the *WARK* to do. When I first looked at it I thought, that's only possible by rolling your fingers across. Then I said, "No, no.......No, no....Wait, wait...."

Good luck, seems like a challenging piece.....challenging.........but fun....

EEKK!! You your saying you have little experience on the piano and you trying to play Tank!? Wow, man! If I were you I'd choose a slower, less complicated piece. But if you think you got what it takes go ahead. I salute you if you succeed at that one. I myself have only had about five years of learning piano and I still can't play it!
When it seems like everything is coming your way, it means your in the wrong lane.
