I don't think even Piano Squall knows about this.
There's a Final Fantasy anime known as Final Fantasy: Unlimited, which is half the inspiration for my name. It's about a brother and sister, Ai and Yu, both around 10 years old, who travel to another world on a quest to find their parents. Early on, they also meet up with Lisa Pacifist, a Kigenjutsu master (this is synonymous with "Defender of Life"), and a mysterious man known only as the "Black Wind", who wields one of the most powerful weapons ever, the Magun, which allows him to fire bullets made from Soil to call forth Summoned Creatures.
The anime doesn't tell the entire story, however. In Japan, there was also a drama CD known as "Final Fantasy: Unlimited Before" and a manga known as "Final Fantasy: Unlimited After", which told more of the story. Translations of these can be found at the
Square Insider Forums. Ai no Kareshi, who did the translations, is currently working on the last bit of story.
Final Fantasy: Unlimited doesn't really get much attention, since it ran only for a short while. It was originally intended to be about 50 episodes, but ended up 25 due to lack of audience interest. I happen to have all 25 episodes with subtitles, so if anyone wants them, I guess I could put them on Megaupload or something.
My favorite music from here is the second ending theme, "Romancing Train", as well as all music involved with
Kuroki Kaze and his Magun.
