LOTR, Harry Potter, and Dragon Riders of Persia
« on: March 20, 2004, 09:36:55 PM »
if u like any of those books, then i absolutly recoment "Eragon" by Christaphor Paolini.  its abt a boy who stumbles across a dragon egg and must keep it safe from the king(an immortal dragon rider).  as he does so, he runs into many interesting people and races such as elves, dwarves, and Urgals(the equivalient to orks).  its the 1st of his series "Inheiritance".  by the way, did i mention that the guy that wrote this book was abt 15 when he wrote it?  he also did the cover image and the map.  the art work is insane!

Maggie... the Dragonriders come from Pern, not Persia ^^;;

I'm reading Eragon right now.  I love it!  I stay up too late to read that book...  I'm not terribly far yet, though.

Possible spoiler, so don't read ahead if you haven't read the book.

I've just met the dwarves trying to get the antidote for Arya.

Yay!  Just finished the book!!!

I imagine him to be pretty good looking.  Stereotypical heros usually are, aren't they?

Heheh.  RPG's do have good looking guys.  I tend to get hooked more because of the story, though.

Haha, that's great!  My half of the room is COVERED in posters.  There's a defined line where my half ends and my rommmate's begins because she doesn't have nearly as much stuff on her wall.

*dances*  I love my posters!

If you like Harry Potter, I would recommend the Red King series, the first of which is called Midnight for Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo. Its short, but a good read nonetheless  8)
