Incident With USB
« on: November 04, 2007, 02:26:13 PM »
The USB I saved all my book work kinda broke and so all my chapters were erased. Luckily I saved Chapters One-Nine, Eleven, parts of Fifteen, and just the title of Sixteen. I just retyped Chapter Ten and am working on getting the others recovered in about two weeks. Hopefully I'll get this done with as much detail as my last ones. Gah this is gonna be a nightmare trying retype FIVE chapters.  :x Gah and the ones that were erased pretty long on Microsoft Word. Each like 8 to 10 pages in legnth. :x I need a 36 pack of pepsi and lots of sugar.
Anime novelist.

USB's can break or loose data which is why when I use a USB I always copy it on there instead of keeping it on there. I haven't lost data on one but I know several people who did so I use it to share with friends.

Good Luck with the retyping I have had to retype things before not that many pages but it's still annoying.

Welcome to life as someone who writes.

I lost a chapter once, and since then i have made sure to back up in four different locations as well as printing out hard copies.

And yet still chapter 22 is gone, i remember writing it but i can remember what i wrote exactly.

And i know it existed ti wasn't all though because the word file for chap 22 is there and like Microsoft word it has the first sentence in the part title but the doc is blank and have no hard copy it was also the latest chapter and unfortunately in a style of surreal ranting i cant just think of what i had i don't even remember what direction i took and the worst part is doing a rewrite only made it feel like a phony and despite being 22 chapter in and about 400 out of 700 pages in i have so little enthusiasm to write because i know its wrong.
Believe in the me, that believes in you!
