Yayy.  I like the ability to put a couch on my porch.  I would never actually do it, but I'd enjoy the ability to just fine.

lol, that law is funny!  they think it will prevent riots and stop the underage drinking

EDIT:  just found this:
University Hill porches and front and side yards, took effect in August 2002. The ban area spans from Arapahoe Avenue to Baseline Road and Broadway to the east side of Ninth Street.

So technically, where I live, I can have a couch on my front porch!

I know in the state of Colorado, it's illegal to lend your neighbor your vaccuum cleaner.

And it was because Boulderites would set the couches on fire.
