The scene with Sabin and Edgar and the Coin Song nearly moved me to tears the first time I saw it. Even now, when the Coin Song comes up on my playlist, I get a little choked. Terra's Theme is right before it, Forever Rachel is two tracks after it; it's a sad-sounding couple of minutes. XD

I've got the piano collections, and that makes it all the more sad to me  xDDD

Piano versions of ANY Uematsu music = win

Piano versions of FFVI = Heaven

But I also really love the Grand Finale cd, especially the Italian version of the Aria ... ^_^ Strangely enough even though every song on there is done very classically it's all very invigorating. Oh! A nother good song on there is The Mystery Train. I love songs that give a strng instrument a solo.

The piano collection of FFVI does indeed equal Heaven  <3

Ooooh, The Mystery Train.  Thats another good one, like I mentioned before.  Love that song.  They have an awesome remix of it up on OCRemix.org.

The Grand Finale is love and win  *Drools*  Actually, in reality, anything with FFVI music is love and win.

I shot milk or whatever it was I drank when I was 10 out my nose when I first made Sabin suplex the phantom train.  I love how delightfully evil Kefka is.

"Edgar! You pinhead!  Why do you have to live out in the middle of nowhere?!  These recon jobs are the pits!"

HA!

Well then... To the translators!  :P

As far as the gameplay and overall story goes, VI is one of the best if not the best in the series.  I think it has the best replayability... I've probably gone back and beaten it a dozen times or better.

Of the few FF games that I've played, Kefka is by FAR my favorite villain because he's hilarious. There are a couple of videos floating around YouTube of a wonderful Kefka cosplayer who inspired me to be Locke this Halloween (did I ever post a picture of that? Because it was amazing). :3 Towards the end of one of the videos, he has a whole rant about things he hates: "I just want to share with you a few things I hate. I hate everyone here, I hate everyone that's not here. I hate everyone that's currently breathing, I hate people that aren't currently breathing. I hate anyone that's ever had a face, anyone that's ever had a dog, anyone that's ever had a cat, anyone that's ever worn clothes, anyone that hasn't worn clothes, anyone that's ever been in existence, I hate them. In fact, I hate you, while you're watching this video with your snacks, with your tiny little cold soda that you just got out of your refrigerator in your mom's basement where you live, cuz you're thirty-five years old, I want you to think about how much I hate ... you ... so ... much that... .... .... HATE YOU!"

It's amazing (the language can be a bit strong but the really bad words are bleeped out).

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  omfg.  He played the part well... a little too well.  I was slightly worried.

"This is what magitek does to your brain".... PRICELESS!

When I was first getting into anime in high school, we had an art show where one of the more talented students would draw your portrait for $20 to help the art dept. fund.  I said "Oh alright.  Uncle Ulty REALLY wants you to do his portrait." when I was asked.  With about a dozen people around me, NOBODY got the joke.  I felt slightly nerdy; and I've never been normal since.  I grew up in a small town in rural Kentucky.  People had F.F.A. dues to pay and didn't have extra money for Final Fantasy games and paraphernalia as I did. haha

"Mr. Thou!!!"
"THAT one is Mr. Thou!  >.<"

Ah, Sabin and Gau moments.  xD  Those were inevitably some of the most giggle-worthy ones in the game for me.  Aside from any time when Kefka came into the picture.  I have never loved an evil laugh nearly as much as Kefka's.  Music-wise, I can't even begin to think which is my favourite in all FF6-dom.  I have no end of love for the Phantom Train's theme, but the Forgotten Continent's BGM gets my head bopping every single time.  Atma Weapon still gives me the chills, even if I've kicked its rear end countless times.  (Yes, I still call it Atma Weapon, despite the re-translation in FFVI Advance marking it as Ultima Weapon.  It will always be Atma to me.  <3 )

(FF6A doesn't count, just like ALttP for GBA doesn't count! Harumph! Atma forever! [/purist])

I totally forgot about this thread. I'm glad it was brought back up so I can go back to fangirling all over the place. XD

There can never be enough said of something that is as clearly FOR THE WIN as FFVI.  xD

I also love using a Phoenix Down on the Phantom Train.  It's all like, "Mmkay, you gotta fight me no--  Oh, no fair.  D:"  I do a little dance every time.
