DBZ/GT
« on: April 30, 2007, 10:20:52 PM »
This is the very first anime i ever got into, anyone else like dragon ball z or gt?  I have almost all the movies and I love the card game, best TCG ever.  The show is kind of corny and takes forever to get to the point but still good stuff.

*Cough*Screenname*Endcough*

It was one of my first anime.  I moderate the official Score Ent. TCG boards for both GT and Z, played the original CCG card game before it died in 04-05, am wearing a DBZ shirt right now.

Future Trunks equals best character ever in that show. I love that show, and even though alot of it should never have happened....I love the Android Saga for its sickness and nerve hitting awesomeness.

Buu was just odd...but I liked some of it.

I watched most of Dragonball Z while it was airing on Cartoon Network.  The three main sagas were the Freiza saga, the Cell saga, and the Majin Buu saga.  And I'd have to say that the first (the Frieza saga) was my favorite.  Where Goku first learns about his Saiyan heritage and Piccolo first learns about his Namekian heritage.  Yes, my main problem with the show was that it was too slow paced at times.  But it has some interesting characters to show off.  Like Nervecandy , I particularly liked Trunks, and even cosplayed him before:

Yes, there were a few episodes in the Cell saga where he wore Saiyan armor, but every now and then someone would say to me something like "Vegeta, what happened to your hair?"  That's not Vegeta, that's Trunks.

Trunks' hair was a lot longer than normal due to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in Cell Saga.  What the dealio with your hair and its silver/whiteness?

There were a lot of other sagas that I would like to forget about...Garlic Jr. Saga...World Games Saga....the fake Namek....

Dbz was one of my favorite anime and one of the first anime I watched. I got the DVD boxset of the first half of the Frieza saga and I taped most of the Androids saga, World Tournament saga, and Majin Buu saga. Future Trunks is very cool, especially when he turned uber buff. The fighting scenes are just cool. And the English version has awesome music.

Well, yes, there's that detail as well... during most of his time in that outfit he had long hair - but that would have required a wig and I thought it would be easier and cheaper to just hit my hair with some white hair spray.
I think that if someone sees the white hair parted down the middle they're going to know it's Trunks (unless they see the outfit and think Vegeta, as I mentioned above).

I was a HUGE DBZ fan. GT kind of pissed me off though.

I watched it while it was on Cartoon Network, and I bought some DVDs (and posters... and shirts... and action figures)

I still have my posters up on my walls

And I cried SO HARD every time Vegeta died... >.>

Agreed...GT sucked.

I did the same.

I do too.

Krillin died more than him.  But Krillin was a bald little freak with no nose.  So it was okay.

I don't know... I think when he killed himself. It was much more emotional than when he was zapped by Freeza. It showed that he really changed over the years and was willing to destory himself to try to save the ones he loved. (even if he wouldn't admit it XD)
