KH was how I got into FF in the first place. All these awesome characters were popping up, and I knew they were from FF, so I learned all about the games and now I'm addicted....sigh.

Same here I played KH and so now I play several FF games yet I haven't played anything before 9 but I will definetly start soon as to know more of what you guys are talking about

The BEST, WORST game? forgive me if this is already posted but I would like to cast my vote for;

Earth Defense Force 2017 [Xbox360]

This game boasts mindless, repetitive shooting, horrible vehicle controls, 2-player mode, music that either is un-noticed or, when heard, unwanted and, voice acting that makes Playstation games like Resident Evil and Castlevania; Symphonie of the Night, sound like Bioshock and Halo 3 respectively. Despite all this; once you start playing you CANNOT stop! This game mystically compels players to play using the, 'it can't get any worse than this' and 'it can only get better from here' methods of mental manipulation

another game which I would nominate for best, worst would be;

Dynasty Warriors 3 [PS2]

Sure you've battled the same generals in the same places twice before...This game wants you to do it again. 'Why should I?' you ask defiantly? Because now you can unlock cool new weapons and cool new generals straight from the obscure and winding passages of the book, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Like the game above; This game will not allow you to stop playing it once you've started. This is the real reason people have held on to their PS2 all this time. So take you Kratos, Soras and, Dante's; If not for Cao Cao, Guan Yu, Lu Bu and, Zhou Yu, you may have traded in you're PS2 for a better quality computer or possibly a Gamecube...

Snatcher.  A text-based RPG in the mid-90's?  C'mon, Mr. Kojima... we'd moved into a better console RPG format by then.  Not only that, it was a blatant ripoff of both terminator and blade runner.  Despite all of that, it had great music, great voice-acting, and a few epic plot twists that even I didn't see coming.  Also, like any Hideo Kojima game, there were a lot of easter eggs that you could look for.

Let's see...most of these are fairly old but here we go, my top (well, bottom) ten. in no particular order~

-Hoshigami (a VERY crappy RPG)
-Saga Frontier 2 (cute but ineffective combat system, a shame as the painterly backgrounds were beautiful)
Vampire Rain (any game that considers dying 13 times before completing a stage as "normal" has a few screws loose, enjoy the cutscene of vampires eating your neck out, because you're going to see it alot. They give you a health bar, not that it matters as the first swipe takes away 3/4 of your health, and it's impossible to get away once they knock you down the first time)
Wild Arms Alter Code F: an utter DISGRACE as a remake to the original game
Baten Kaitos: Beautiful scenes....story was...well....typical. but the names and voices made the game unbearable, and the card combat system made battles difficult and drawn out, and often times, very unfair.
Any GBA shining series game aside from force's remake: Seriously, what the hell. what was one of the best and first strat rpgs back in the day has been reduced to shitty dungeon crawlers! shame on you camelot!
Chrono Cross: I'm sorry, this game was utterly terrible and does not deserve to be the sequel to trigger, it really doesn't. So many pointless non-plot characters that join you for those exact reasons....a broken contradicting story...and a stupid ending.
Dragonball GT Final Bout: Why was this game in such high demand? it is without a doubt the worst fighting game ever created.
breath of fire 4 and beyond: the series just seemed to get better as it progressed from 1-3...then it utterly died
