Hmm, that's a toughie. Very tough.

Going strictly Anime wise (excluding games) I would have to say:
Fav: Greg Ayres
In what: Son Goku in "Gensomaden Saiyuki" (first series. He was replaced in Reload and Gunlock, unfortunately).
Why: He's a total fanboy for one thing, so listening to him talk during the cast commentary in "Saiyuki Requiem" was a blast. He was very enthusiastic about his work. I think he did very, very well getting Goku's energy across, and equally as well doing the sad bits. Sometimes voice actors do great when happy but fail at being sad, like it just feels artificial. I don't think he did that.

What about yourself, Kisuke? Now I'm curious.

Who is your favorite voice actor/actress?
Maaya Sakamoto.

What is your favorite anime they have been in?
Escaflowne.

Why would you say they are you favorite?
I find her to be extremely talented in both her singing and her voice acting careers.  She started popping up all over the place when I checked into what she's done so far.  What got me checking was when I found out she was the voice of Aerith in Advent Children.

All really good choices folks xD.  I like those guys a lot too.  For me though:

Favorite VA?
Steven Blum
Favorite Anime they're in?
....hard to say, he's good in anything he is in...even crappy stuff like Gundam xD (no offense to all those robit fans out there, it's just not my thing.)
If I had to say one I gotta say Spike Spiegel/Bebop, it can't be helped, an amazingly good anime and probably the best English dub in my opinion.  I also think it has pretty much the best ending out of any I have seen.  Bah, and I am into ska music, so all the jazz and brass gets me goin.  Great OST.
Why?
Why not.  He's a great actor first of all, he does a great job of making the character dynamic.  They feel much more real to me when he's behind em.  And he has an interesting voice.  Not all crazy or anything like Richy Cox, but still interesting. (Richard Cox's voice bugs the crap outta me....)
One more thing about S. Blum, I met him in person very recently at Naka-kon.  I was quite surprised with him.  It seemed to me that he was one of the most down to Earth people I have met.  He was incredible polite, he was in a panel with Greg Ayrse, Caitlin Glass and Rob Mungle.  He never interupted, and he spoke very sparsely.  The only time he said anything, it was something very relevant or very wise even. xD  I got to meet him afterwards, we got along very well.  All in all, a very good guy.

So that's my spiel I guess..
Holla back.  And I wish more people would post on this thread. 8)

PS - I almost cosplayed Mugen to Naka-kon, that was until I found out that Steven B. was gonna be there xD....figured it be better to meet him as me instead of as him.. ^^;;

PS Again.. - Greg A. is a really good DJ.

Who is your favorite voice actor/actress?
Vic Mignogna

What is your favorite anime they have been in?
Fullmetal Alchemist

Why would you say they are you favorite?
He is an amazing voice actor, singer, and pianist. In FMA, Vic really did a wonderful job with Ed's voice. He perfectly conveyed Ed's emotion to the audience, me think. When Ed is sad, Vic actually sounded sad. He made me laugh and cry throughout the series.

Vic is a great VA man.  He did indeed do an amazing job with FMA.  (btw, tonight on my way home, I saw this building called 'FMA hospital' hah. ironic.)  That is another really good dub.  One of the few.  Vic is guesting at Anime St Louis, it'll be cool to get to meet him; I'm looking forward to it.

PS - Good choices folks.  ^^ (not much a a ps...)

PS again - How many people were surprised to learn PS could be an acronym for Piano Squall?  Haha...I-I-I-I-I'm dumb..

Don't forget Kirk Thornton! Kisuke, you should know him. He's Jin from "Samurai Champloo".
He's muh homeboy. Seriously. We hail from the same city. BOOYA! It says the same city as me on IMDB, but I think he's from Astoria, which is two hours away (beach town, don't ya know). Plus Astoria is also where Ring 2 was filmed. *shrug*

Oh, for non anime voice actors, my favorite would be Maurice LaMarche. He voiced Brain from Pinky and the Brain, and Calculon from Futurama. He also voiced my favorite Futurama character, Hedonism Bot.

Nice!  He's is a BAMF yo!  Kirk Thornton does a great job with Jin.  The whole Champloo cast is great. 8) It's a dub I actually like a lot.  He's  a really good actor, and he fills the role perfectly.  Good job.

PS - Maurice LaMarche is really funny, so melodramatic.  He's a really funny guy and a great person for those type of parts.  =D>

Favorite Voice Actor:  Jerry Jewell.

Favorite Anime: I like his work in pretty much everything he does, especially Case Closed (Detective Conan) and Kodocha.  A close second would have to be Greg Ayres because he's awesome in everything he does.

Tiffany Grant-she played one AWESOME asuka in EVA
Many people might not like the dub, but I enjoyed it, and she did a great job as Asuka!  She sounded just like the Japanese voice actress made Asuka out to be!

Who is your favorite voice actor/actress?
Kappei Yamaguchi

What is your favorite anime they have been in?
Inuyasha, although I also have a soft spot for his role in Ueki no Housoku, and One Piece

Why would you say they are you favorite?
Kappei has wowwed me on more that one occasion with the raw emotion in his voice, and I especially loved the personality and life he gave to Inuyasha.  He brought a lot of extra humor and played up the funny where the script might have been bland otherwise, and he also brought it incredible touching power to lines that weren't always as meaningful just in writing.

And no one can scream out attack names the way he does.  ;)

And no one can take the word "baka" and make it sound as incredibly hilarious and unique as he does. ;)

Plus he's so darn cute.  Hehehe.
