regarding "Not original arrangement" sheet
« on: January 13, 2007, 12:20:18 AM »
About the "Final Fantasy Battle Medley", I don't have any frame of reference :p , but I thought it was very very great :D. The question is, from which book is "One-winged-angel" song and "Liberi Fatali"? Since FF7-piano collection's One-winged-angel is different with the one that you have played, and you didn't post it, which meant it is not you original arrangement; and also I can't find Liberi Fatali on FF8-piano collections. Thanks in advance.

I believe both the "One-Winged Angel" and "Liberi Fatali" pieces in the battle medley are arranged by a friend of Piano Squall, Michael Huang, which can be found on his website at http://www.fantasyreborn.com/.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Michael. :D

Oh...and don't forget to post in the Introductions section so we can officially welcome you. ^_^

You got it, both of those arrangements are by my friend Michael Huang. He makes them available for free download at www.fantasyreborn.com

The other arrangements that I did not write can be found in the Final Fantasy Piano Collections books, which are available here: www.GameMusic.com

Have fun! ^_^

Thank you very much for the information :D, now I can begin the practice of that part. Ah, I forgot to ask, which book/where can I find the last excerpt of the medley? (the victory theme); and by the way, Michael, did you improvise the Liberi Fatali and One-winged-angel? since some of the part is more complex than the note :D, thanks in advance.

I'm not sure where the victory fanfare piece is from, but I think it's also arranged by Michael Huang. I might be wrong though. :)

ah, yes, it's victory fanfare instead of victory theme xD, it may be from Final Fantasy 1 to 12 though, since all the series have the same victory fanfare (except final fantasy 10-2 and 11 =p)

I think Michael improvised on Michael Huang's arrangement of the Final Fantasy V Fanfare theme, but I'm not sure. :?
I should leave the question to Michael. :D

Actually just made this one up myself. I only use the first two measures rather than play the entire fanfare.

Finally!! 7 songs of 10 mastered, "Final Battle", "Liberi Fatali" and "One-Winged-Angel" is the 3 I can't mastered =.=''', they are too hard, for liberi fatali I don't know from which line it started ><.. and, by the way, I like "FFX Normal Battle" the most, the left hand part really make my hand goes ecstasy (and very tired, by the way =p)

Congratulation! =D>
Liberi Fatali starts from measure 84 and Michael-san did improvise on it.
I kind of mastered 8 of the 9 pieces. I don't play One-Winged-Angel though. I still have to work on Dancing Mad.
Well, I still play wrong notes here and there because my hands are small, especially in the FF7 battle theme.

The C octaves that Michael-san played just before the video jumped to Liberi Fatali is actually the end of the FF7 battle theme. After that, he played a little part he made up to join the FF7 battle theme and Liberi Fatali which is not shown in the video.

Here is a video of him playing part of the FF battle medley. It shows the whole FF7 battle theme to Liberi Fatali part. Hope this helps.

As for the voice chat, there is a PianoSquall TeamSpeak server. The info on it is in the PianoSquall General Discussion section, stickied. Be sure to join the voice chat sometimes. ^_^
