Favorite final episode
« on: January 12, 2007, 03:28:43 AM »
I just finished up DNAngel and man was that a beautiful ending. One of the best I've seen, perhaps second only to Giant Robo's finale. So what's everyone's favorite anime finales? (note spoilers when needed, duh.)

I loved the final episode of Ai Yori Aoshi and Ai Yori Aoshi: Enishi. Also the final episode of Trigun. Yu Yu Hakusho was good too but not great

"Full Metal Alchemist" had an interesting end to an interesting story.
And "Full Metal Panic" ended with a very exiting battle.
(Just mere coincidence that both those shows start with "Full Metal".)

I really liked the ending of Fushigi Yuugi and the ending of the Samurai X: Reflection movie type thingy.
I just saw the ending of DNAngel and it was amazing as well!

Wild arms ending is my favorite ending.  The episode wasn't any good but i was happy it ended. LOL  Elfen Lieds ending was enjoyable, had to see if i had horns, this was a good ending.

Cowboy Bebop..not many anime are willing to (or make it look like at the very least) kill the main character, especially.

Chrono Crusade - well here we all knew the two main characters would die...no surprise. I do like the very last seen though where with the attempted assassination of the Pope and Ion.

Full Metal Alchemist - though since the movies took place after, you really can't call it an end....

There's some other's that had good endings in the anime, but continued on in manga, so i don't know if i can really use those...

Totally agree. That was definately one of my favorite final episodes. Plus, "Blue" sung by Mai Yamane gave me a massive bout of goosebumps. That was such a gorgeous song and definately one of my favorites out of the entire series.

well i dont know about favorite, but it was definently the most memorable ending ever, and that would be the last episode of elfen lied. My eyes started welling up with tears (but i didnt actually cry), it was so sad. And the way it just ended and left so much open, I really really really wanted a sequal (which again shows how good the series and the ending was, despite my disappointment).

My favorite anime ending is the ending to Monster.

There was just so much going on towards the end of the series. So many doors were being opened and there were so many new questions to be asked that it was almost impossible to end a series with any kind of satisfaction. Yet I think it was done perfectly.

The end of the series was just the beginning of the true story.

I've met several people who just got irritated or completely dissatisfied with it's ending but I was actually pretty elated when I saw that final screen that played with the ending credits, although I realize that it's odd for me to feel this way. I know that if this anime/manga were based in reality, thousand more people would die at the hands of the Anti Christ. ... but then I tell myself that it's just a freakin' anime! ... XD
