I agree with most here in saying that stage fright happens to almost everyone. I've been performing since middle school and, for a while, I had almost got rid of it, just because I was so used to it. But that was playing my flute or oboe or sax or something, and usually in a group. When I started singing, that was a whole new ballgame.....i got so scared. It really does help to be passionate about what you are performing. I sing christian music, and I really feel I'm singing to glorify God, not myself......so thinking like that has really made me not as scared. I would suggest, again, that you make yourself feel comfortable with what you are performing by yourself. When you feel comfortable, your will perform much better.
