Enter with Extreme Caution (and consider whose sayin that)
« on: August 13, 2006, 12:15:00 AM »
http://hentaiid.com/

read it. this topic may severely disturb you. but more importantly, i hope you are aggrivated by what it has to say. You may not care for the material being restricted here, but I think this has a very distressin message for all of us. Expression is being extinguished in this country. They never made Picasso register his masterpieces with a database. Mozart's compositions dont have bar codes on them. Why do we have to be controlled? I think our government just feared this particular media, because it was "adventurous" and "physically comfortable". (chu, you might want to run away.) This personally through me into a frenzied rage when I came across it, and I simply had to ask, what is other ppl's reactions to this? I know this topic is, well, a little off-colored. But, we cant just sweep this under the mat. (can we get  a mat? this barn/white room/mountain cabin/whatever this forum is now being imagined as could definitly use a more homely feel)

Wow. I really don't know what to say. Bit by bit, it seems like they're taking away the freedom they granted us.

I guess I could see where they would link it to child porn, but.. I don't think it's right. And when it comes right down to it, it's animated. It's not like its real children. Yes, it's porn, but.. Honestly. It's drawn.

I don't know. This isn't right.

So...we make a rocketship and find the planet of the Otaku!!!

Seriously I'm beginning to hate this country though.

Hey, don't insult my heritage! And I've got nothing bad to say about Norwegians!

But anyway, even thought I'm by no means a lolicon fan (I don't appreciate any kind of hentai, really. But, you know, if you do, it's your prerogative and I won't disrespect you for it), the government these days just makes me mad...going to war for no frickin' reason, getting all these loved ones and soldiers killed for nothing...Bush makes me mad.

focus. not debatin the war. just gettin mad over them stealing our freedom of expressin. now i realize thats not a written freedom, but consider all we have just from the first amendment. when we were founded, it was in the name of freedom. ABSOLUTE and COMPLETE freedom, without fear of judgment and punishment.

Oops...where did that go?

Granted, there are still a lot of stuff we can still say/do but everything is slllooowwwllyyy being taken away.  Throw a frog into boiling water, he'll jump out.  Put him in cool water and slowly bring it to a boil and the frog will cook.

Wow. So loli is now officialy banned? There's a message board I post at frequently everyday and there's been so much debate about loli there. I'm big at the anime board there and thats where the discussion has been much. Although now that this has come out, I haven't heard a lot about it.

Honestly, this is similar to what China just did: ban anime and all overseas animation from prime-time TV. Although I'm not sure if it's JUST prime-time TV or not.

I'm not saying it's just about war- just the government in general. Our freedom of expression should be covered in both amendments 1 and 9- these oppressers put the "mental" in governmental, I swear...

Someone was actually sending an e-mail petition around trying to get anime banned from the US (yes, I did sign the counter-petition), and, my gah, you can't ban free expression, especially when it's not hurting anyone! Lolicon, anime, video gaming, etc., it's all fictional, people! It's not like lolicon fans are gonna...you know...eh...but anyway, I agree with Captain Yaoi here: "ABSOLUTE and COMPLETE freedom, withough fear of judgement and punishment." The basis of our country...now slowly being ripped apart.

This is utter lunicy... now I've never hidden it (I dont go telling everyone but I dont go out of my way to hide it) I'm into Hentai more loli than normal but what ever... even if this was just about normal hentai this is crazy. I feel this is just the first step... back a few years ago (less than ten) you could hit your kid to disiplin them now the only thinkg you can do is give them a "stern talking to." Because that is gonna do anything to stop the kid from doing anything. Pretty soon they'll Ban all violence on tv and kissing this country is getting out of hand back when the constitution was first made we were running for laws that govern our way of thinking and expression then we come over here and put up the same damn laws. We'll all be watchin barney and Frankland 24/7/365.

Japan here I come. <man no japan flag in the smilies...prolly cause the USA banned that too>

you sir are aboslutly right. y'all might not see the correlation, but remember when they implemented prohibition? that didnt work. they had to change it like, what, 10 years later (my history is foggy this summer). you cant tell ppl how to live their lives. you cant tell people how to live their lives. you simply can put into place laws to protect people. Like, "Hey, you cant kill ppl". thats a good one. "you have to smile while you pee". that ones crappy.

I seriously think that anything done by a government in that manner is an outrage. I didnt even read the whole topic and I'm already pissed.

Not arguing you guys here...just saying. I'm just angry...

Since when did they grant us anything?? They werent in the Revolutionary War. They are therefore just a bunch of idiots who are unrelated to anything except their own agenda, which SUCKS! And in response to the toon porn issue, if you are allowed to think about it (which every freaking person has because humans think about 24/7 of the time about who the hell knows what.) then you are allowed to share thought. Its free...and honestly, how can a politician tell the difference between old and young anime characters...lol? They are far too unfamiliar with the style. They could be "super deformed" but still be 18 and up. This raises many questions on wtf is going on...

I just want to be free and therefore I am mad.

As for what LordofVT said, Im all for it once those morons actually find out how to land on the moon...and yes I think that was a fraud...Dont you find it odd that such a huge landmass with that potencial is just SITTING there for so long without any media coverage on, "Hey...we're on the *%&@ing Moon!" Hehe!"
I say we kidnap some scientists and make the moon our planet!

Anyways...enough of my ignorant rambling, You can Wark my post now, but wouldnt that be ironic in a post about freedom of speech/expression?

we should colonize the moon, declare independance, and legalize this stuff again.
