Top Video Game Moments!!!!!!!...(may contain spoilers.....not sure)

I remember when I first got Halo: Combat Evolved when I was like 10 and I was in the stage when the fludd were first shown..... it was like freaking scary and all lol........ It was like some sorta Resident Halo


Oh and when you first find out Samus is a girl at the end of Metroid.... you play then entire game thinking Samus is a guy until the end....... its such a surprise.......

Yes, in the instruction manual of that game they refer to Samus as "he", so it comes as a total surprise that he is actually a she.


EDIT Oh, and if you want a further surprise, try beating the game a second time in under 2 hr.  Refer to my message here for more info.

My favorite video game moment will always be the ending of FF9.  I had already fallen in love with the game, but that ending is what forever sealed it as my favorite game of all time, and still does to this day.  I still go back and play it and the ending still gives me goosebumps and makes me smile like a total dope.  XD

Four other favorite video game moments that I have:

1.  The opera house scene in FF6.  I seriously have never felt that outright overwhelmed and impressed with a sequence in a video game before.  It's just so amazingly executed, bringing in Celes' performance, Locke's dashing rescue, and... ULTROS!  Heehee.

2.  Blue Dragon spoilers (highlight for spoilers):
Reclaiming Shu's shadow and the scene directly preceding it.  I was kind of on the edge about how much I liked Shu as a main character; that scene did it for me.  I always love scenes that really do that much to sway my attitude about a character.

3.  The "You're Not Alone" scene in FF9.  I think it's partially the music, and partially the message behind it, but I loved the way it was executed, too. 

4.  Ookami spoilers (highlight for spoilers):
Right after the battle with the King of Darkness, when Issun sends out images of Amaterasu around Nippon, asking everyone to say prayers for her and remember how much she did for them.  The music in that scene was heartwarming, and I was a complete sap and felt tears in my eyes... ^^;

1. First time you fight (not see) Id in Xenogears...i think what made that memorable was not only the fact it came out of nowhere and a major battle, but the music that went with it.

2. Fighting Lavos in the Ocean Palace where Crono dies. I'm glad this scene was animated in the remake.

3. When Luna revives Althena's Fortress in Lunar:SSSC. That was my favorite scene from there.

4. And from the next title, Lunar: EB...when Leo dresses up as Mystere to save you...and all he does is change his name and wear a cheesy mask. That made me fall down laughing the first time.

FFVIII Seeing Omega Weapon get beat... in 3 turns (1 person's action means 1 turn)aka Meltdown-Duel-Lionheart

In FFX...when Yuna runs through Tidus, then gets up and tells him she loves him  *Wipes away a tear* 

In FFVI...after the world is destroyed, and Celes throws herself off of the cliff, thinking Locke and the others are dead. 

Also in FFVI...the scene where Terra is "born".  Very beautiful for floating pixels spewing sparkles from God knows where  xP

Forgive me if I re-post something already stated...I kinda didn't read any of the other posts ^_^;; sorry people...

A Major moment in my gaming history was when I beat Super Mario Brothers. It was the first game I've ever beaten. My GREATEST video game moment came a few months later. Now, I've never EVER been good with fighting games. So when I finally beat  Mortal Kombat 2 on the SNES, I couldn't help but jump up-and-down while cheering [I miss being a kid...]

As for my number one moment in a video game's story; *[possible spoiler]* I think I'll the most important one to me is the story Sniper Wolf treats you to after you defeat her in the snow feilds about growing up on the battlefield. This was the first time I took a genuine interest in a game's story. I felt horrible about killing Wolf after hearing about how she would wake up each day to find another member of her family dead...*sniffle*

I thought the same thing.  I'm like "oh come on!"  I wanted to see some Maduin/Madonna pr0n.  Maybe I'll get a nerdy g/f and cosplay it at the next con I go to. HA!


As far as the moment that got me, I'll have to go mainstream for a second and say when Aeris was slain.  I just wasn't expecting it.

I was also forced to crack a smile when Squall finally came around for Rinoa at the beginning of Disc 3 after having ignored her through most of the game.  Of course, I kind of identify myself with Squall in most social settings.  I'm just not the misanthrope he is. haha

The entire ending of Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra had me nearly in tears.  Jin still fighting after having a few blades run him through.  KOS-MOS being pretty much destroyed after kicking some serious gnosis ass.  Allen finally getting his girl... It was like my whole world of Xenosaga was falling apart.  After that many hours logged into the series, that was a very bad thing. lol

I also have to note when you finally see Crono and Marle (or rather their spirits) in Chrono Cross.  I was like "ok FINALLY a viable reference to Chrono Trigger."  I was waiting the whole game to hear about another day of Lavos, though.

Growlanser 2...? The whole game gets me a bit emotional, the characters are amazing and the story line just pulls you in and you cant help but feel for some of the peoples.

I was playing The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess and the moment when I first met that Yeto was pretty funny. And the best moment I've ever had was Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast when the first evil light saber guy appearred (those were sith lords I think...).

First time I played through, I reset the game and re-watched that scene.

I go back to the theater in Luca and watch that over and over again.  It makes me cry.

I couldn't stand to look at Tidus's face though... The freckles drove me nuts! At least they looked like freckles...

Edit: One of my favorite moments of all time in gaming was in Final Fantasy VIII. The cut-scene where they are storming the beach of Dalet(I think that's what it was called). Also when Quistis is shoting the snot out of the spider robot. awww-yeah!
