Connnecticon performance 2006
« on: July 09, 2006, 09:32:35 PM »
That was an awesome concert! The arranging for the pieces are great, the Mario medley was really nicely arranged for piano to show off Piano Squall's technical skill and yay for raising so much for the MS research.  Great selection and variety of pieces as well as an entertaining show.  I hope that these performances enhance people's interest in gaming, music and to make people inspired to really listen to game music as an art!

Hahaha, if only that was all you needed to pick up waves of adoring fans.

Well, I've only had the opportunity to see Piano Squall at Tekkoshocon and Otakon, but I'm glad to hear the PS performance went great once again (not that I had any doubts).
Enjoy your stay on the PS forums psylocke, and feel free to post an intro.

I did, almost immediately after that post. Acutally, I was doing quite well considering what little sleep I did get. But I'm awake now!

Psylocke, were you at the Friday night or Sunday morning performance (or both)? Just curious. Which piece was your favorite?

Let's give PianoSquall a hand for an awesome concert! It's very impressive that he arranges it all himself, isn't it? Surely someone to look up to!

I say all the people in the Northeast push to get him to come to ICON! There may be someone to contact or somewhere to request a guest. It certainly wasn't the same without him there the past couple of ICON's...

Oh, btw, where can we download older recordings on the page? Is there an archive?? It would be nice to get them all...

Holla Callisto!! I'll see you and the Omegas later.  Storms "busy", its apparently typhoon season.
I cant wait to look at some of the posted sheet music, too bad my hands are not as big as Piano's to play octaves, you too Gamemusicmaker! I went to Friday's performance. I loved all of it, especially the Mario medley and FF battle themes (again kick ass arrangement as opposed to the very simple interpretation in the published versions).  As for the cell phone ring, yes i did hear it, I believe you sat somewhere in the center, love the ring!

I was at Fri's preformance I loved the FF Arrangement. I also loved how PS considered himself a fan like the rest of us and how he called it art at first I was thinking that I must be crazy to think its art but since theres someone of greatness like him that thinks so too....we can be insane together yay!!

<p.s. I heard the ringtone was quite funny>
