aii... the woes of a cosplayer...  I've had to work around the house all day because of the lack of money for more costumes...

Cleaning a restaurant-style open range: $10
Mopping and waxing all the floors in a 4 story house: $20
Organizing a boiler room: $20
More Cosplay: Priceless.

I always try to set up some sort of fund for my costume needs. It seems to be working right now. So thats good.  I pay for everything for me, my parents dont really give me any support. All of my friends parents like anime and games and totally support their kids. They're even into them cosplaying.  My parents....nothing. I really depend on my friends for an outlet for my obsessions. ~~John

It's okay John. If you need a supporting parent figure for cosplay and anime love, just use my Daddy! I'll let you borrow him. lol. Either way, my funds come from starving myself in lunch and saving up lunch money. That, and now dad has finally decided to give me ten bucks out of every paycheck he gets. Not much, but it amounts! I have around sixty that I'm planning on spending on the rest of my cosplay supplies tomorrow eavening.

I get reduced lunch, cuz I'm cheap that way, lol. But dad still gives me two bucks anyway, so I save that and eat sparingly. Ah, the sacrifices one makes for being an Otaku are so great! T-T

Back to the slight topic that was evolving here, my funds have been depleated. This kid owes me fifteen bucks, lol, which I will use for my extension-buying money. I just hope he pays up!

Yeah, my extensions still haven't come in yet.  Luckily, they were only $7 with shipping!  ^_^ But anyway, yeah, I've been working my butt off at home.  I have to pay for my hotel room and my family's tickets.  @_@ aiyai.

It sounds like fun, but unfortunately I couldn't pass for a FF/anime character even if it was night, and you were looking at me in the distance with the light behind me...

Well I guess I could show up to a convention in normal clothes and be all like "I'm cosplaying as FF7 commoner #236"...
