Greetings!
« on: May 04, 2006, 07:30:38 PM »
My name is Aerisa Darkyna. I joined, well.. Because I was curious, mainly XD

I'm 18 years old, and I'm, in my free time, an Author and a Singer. I'm a huge fan a Video Games, which I guess is obvious if I'm here ^^ I'm mainly a fan of RPG and Platforming games.

While English is not my first Language(French is), I can say I'm quite good at it, and I hope to go to the states eventually to improve even more. (Before anyone ask, I don't live in France. I'm from Quebec) Still, it's not perfect yet, so forgive me if I makes some errors, ok? XD

I don't think there's anything else... So bye for now XD

Yay Quebec! Welcome to the forums, Aerisa! It's always good to have more singers and writers (and game junkies) around. ^_^ You're right, your English is really good! Don't be a stranger now! *traditional glomp of justice*

If you're interested, I put the url of my website in my Profile ^^ Most updated story, so far, is Nightmare City. =3

I think I'll try to buy a microphone first chance I get so I can put something in Fanplay. I used to have one, but it broke so ^^;

As for my English, I actually learned most of it on Internet XD (We are taught it at school, but since my region is 100% French, we don't really have any opportunity to really improve what we learn)

strange, you seem like a person who would get my randumosity, so i won't use a "normal" post here

is it "kebek" or "kwebek"

Kebek. Kwebec just sounds WIERD XD And did I just pwn you by getting it? XD

Anyway, glad to be here! *hug everyone again* ^^

Toshee, thanks for saying I'm cool! I actually describe myself as an excentric, but it'll work too, right? XD

Zen, it doesn't look that different from normal English... Or so I think anyway XD And likewise!

Spanish, yes ^^ But since it is a language close to French, you're forgiven ^_~ And I will! ^^

As for the Kwebek thing, even if I personnally say Kebek, I guess Kwebek would work too. Kind of like... One is the French prononciation and the other is the English one... Or something. I've never been somewhere English, so I can't say anything about how you pronounce words XD

Actually, my AP Human Geography teacher always said it as kebek, but I guess I grew up hearing it as kwebek.  It's all good.  I think it is more preference, kinda like how you pronounce caribbean.

We say "Kwebek" in English because we pronounce the U. Think about words like "quiet" and "quilt" that start with QU- and you'll see what I mean. I say "Kebek" though, because of French class.

Pourquoi? Est-ce terrible? XD Je l'ai étudié pour trois années au lycée. Maintenant, j'étudie le japonais.

(Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it's been a while since I've spoken French. ^_^;)
