Doing drastic things for the love of anime
« on: January 31, 2004, 11:58:47 PM »
Last semester, I met a really cool guy in my college dorm. ((I want to get him to join the forums >.<)) I met him when I went to say hello to my RA one day, and she was talking to him. She went "hey Vash, this is the anime gamer girl I was telling you about before." I was like...uh....Vash? I didn't really question it at first. Then about 2 weeks later, I met someone who had been friends with Vash before college and found out that he had indeed changed his former name, and began introducing himself to everyone at college as Vash. Personally I think its awesome, and a great way to discover which of the people you meet are anime fans. Any thoughts? Has anyone else done something crazy like that before? (You can be critical if you wish, but don't be mean! He might be joining us here!)

Reminds me of the military guy who changed his name to Optimus Prime. That's a novel idea actually, but the most I'll ever stray from my original name is probably "Jay."
Lord Claws: Link had the right idea early on, use bombs to blow holes in they walls if there is a slight crack
Lord Claws: there may be a hidden room behind
JayEsthar: or a lawsuit

Haha, I think I'll stick to being called Ameria only by people who know me as such from forums, etc. ^_^ Who needs to officially change their name when the people who'd understand it already know?

Lu...thats what Wakka calls her. And wakka is like one of those people who'd walk into a wall and be like hey who put this wall here? 9_9 idiot. lol. But, its cool for other people to say lu, as long as their not as much of an airhead.

Hehe, I have much more respect for Wakka now that I heard his Japanese voice. It's Zoro from One Piece!!! JOOOOOY! *hugs her One Piece DVDs and doujinshi*

ard to imagine Zoro's voice on Wakka....Sleepy head VS Spike head...W007!

I'd change my name but like...three months later I'd hate it and change it again...Like prince....Just without the squiggly thing, I'll skip that phase.
Anyway, but to legally change you name? That's brave dude! Takes a die--hard fan dude to do that, it's all permanent and stuff....kyaaa...rock on!
So long as there's Natto on this planet, Japanese got no right to say jack to anybody about food.

Er, not really. :/  It is a $300 fee, though...I'd rather spend it on games. :D

Lu's fine, Shoy! hehehe...Shoy, now THAT's fun to say. Shoyshoyshoooy! Rhymes with Jooooy, further emploooooooooooooy that SHOOOOOY! Okkaaay, stopping now. lol.

Three hundred dollars, ne? Heh. I'll just start calling myself by that name. Eventually it'll catch on. I'll use my real name for legal business and such. But it works. If you eventually just change your name, and your friends start calling you by it, it'll catch on. Like my friend Lauren, who changed her name to Kima. We all call her that by instinct.
