Thank you Anime St. Louis!
« on: April 09, 2006, 01:59:41 AM »
Dear Anime St. Louis Attendees,

I've seen conventions on the East coast, West coast, Midwest, North and South.  I've seen big cons, little cons, medium size cons.  I thought I had seen it all... And then I saw St. Louis.

I have performed for three years at twenty-some different conventions, but I have never met a group of people with such love for game and anime music all in one place.  Tonight was unbelievable.  Awesome.  Completely out of control.  Those are the only words I can find, but they don't even come close to describing what it felt like to be in that auditorium.

Never before have I felt this level of enthuiasm for what I do.  I go into a concert with the goal of inspiring the audience, but by the end of the night, I can promise you that the most inspired person in the room was me.   All I can say is thank you for making this one of the most memorable experiences of my life.  Attendees of Anime St. Louis, you're in my heart forever.

Please visit the Downloads section, where you can find live concert video footage and recordings in MP3 format.  I have also taken the time to write down my original arrangements for you, and a MIDI is included with the sheet music for each piece.  I continue to update the site with new footage, new recordings, and new arrangements as they become available.  There is never any charge, please feel free to download and enjoy as much as you like.

And finally, a very special welcome the newest members of our forum family joining us from Sakura-con!  We are proud to have one of the most tight-knit, friendly communities on the internet.  By organizing large forum get-togethers at conventions, internet voice chats, and instant messenger discussions, our forums has evolved into a family of friends united by a common love of game and anime music.  Let me be the first to welcome the attendees of Anime St. Louis, and to our veteran members, please show them the strength of our Piano Squall forum love!  ^_^

Were we really that amazing as fans?  Well, thinking about that I guess we were considering that one girl yelled "I love you" after every song.  But all that amazingness doesn't come out of no where, it comes out of you being amazing!  I hope I get to see you in concert again next year because the experiance grows each year.  Thank you Piano Squall! *screams like an obsessed fangirl*

You are a truly amazing performer and I must thank you for even considering to come to our tiny "destined to fail" convention. We could not have done it without you. Your suggestions, advise, encouragement, and presence allowed us to have such an amazing turn out.
As for the fans, I must say I was wowed and amazed. Their energy was remarkable to experience. I don't know what it is about your performance, but the effluence from it is a fantastic catalyst.
 :D
I hope we can see you again next year when we merge with the larger con and take on the Maryville Marriot.

Mike, I gotta say I laughed when I read that. I had a feeling you would say something like this. You just were so amazed last night at the crowd of people and their enthusiasm.

I still can't get over how many people we actually had show up to the con. It was unbelieveable. I have to keep looking at my pictures just to make sure it was real. I had such a great time. I had to work 8 and a half hours today at Target and I could barely walk. LOL I did too much yesterday. But everything was worth it.

I have some great pictures from yesterday. My connection is terrible here at home, but I work in the computer lab tomorrow morning, so I'll get them in a gallery and post a link for everyone here. I know Liz is got some great pictures too. I took a few of the Cosplay Competition with hers but not mine.

Thanks again Mike for coming and amzing us all with another wonderful performance.

I want to say thank you (again!) Mike, for working with us and truly being the amazing person that you are..  I knew that you were an amazing pianist and an all around nice guy-but this process and weekend truly showed me the extent of your genuine humanity.

I want to say that we were honored to have Mike, and so many of the forum members, come to Maryville and support us--and to have such an amazing response from all who came!  I was truly moved to tears (and the exhaustion had nothing to do with it ) when I read Mike's post on the website, and to hear people say that everyone had a blast and that the workers were so nice is so moving!

I speak from the depths of my heart when I say that I will never forget the emotions and lessons that I've learned this past weekend, and I can only hope to have more of the same in the future.

I love you all-and hope to see everyone again!

There's really not too much I can say that hasn't already been said  ^.^;;
Your performance the other night was absolutely beautiful and truly inspiring. Your dedication to your fans was definetly something else and the way you emote as you play is really awesome (as Dannie Yoko already said, you have an amazing aura as you play). I am definetly looking forward to the next time I get to see another show (whenever that may be  ^.^ )

I've seen you play twice and I got to say every time you preform you always get such a positive response it's amazing. At school I've let my friends listen to some of the FF Favorites you've done and it blew them away, so much so that they all decided to come with me to Anime St. Louis. I don't think a single one of them wasn't in complete fangirl mode during your concert screaming their heads off.  I also appreciate you allowing me and my friend Jeremy to have pizza with you after the show, I think it really shows to your character how much you care for your fans. I hope to get my convention, CONcept Anime, completely funded by later this year because there is nothing I'd like better than having Piano Squall play a concert at a convention of my own.

One of these days Piano Squall has to create a cosplay band called Cloud Strife and The Knights of The Round. lol. Its an idea I told him during kunicon. I mean just think of Rufus doing a electric guitar solo to one of Piano Squall's piano arrangement with Barret on the drums. lol, just me being really weird ideas.

Well if there are thirteen Knights of the Round plus Cloud, that's fourteen people. That would have to be a jazz ensemble or something. :::evil smirk::: Who else can imagine it? :D
