the word association test

OK, I've seen this done on some other forums and people seemed to like it.  For this game, you look at the word in the post above you and then post the first thing that comes to mind (but let's try to keep it decent, OK?)  So, I'll get things started.  Well... I simply have to think of the first thing that comes to my mind.

Cast.

(Perhaps we should try to put the reasons we thought of the word, if we can, so this doesn't become a one-word-per-post spamtravaganza. I thought of "cast"  because I misread "cat" as "cast". XD)

lies (because for some strange reason "cast away your lies" seems like a proper phrase)
