Both the opening and ending were great - although very different.  The opening was a fast, energetic song and the ending was a slow, sad song.  The opening was "Through the Night" and the (first) ending was "Hiru no Tsuki" (Daytime Moon).

I also enjoy the track that plays during the DVD episode menu...thats my favorite in terms of instrumentals. It brings out a very adventurous spirit I think.

I catch myself humming Tsuki no Iie (sp?) all the time at work for some reason. Those songs are awesome  ^.^

Outlaw Star is all about the rock n roll. Cant think of a single other anime thats so well linked to a musical genre except Bebop.
The opening is solid, the character designs fit well into the rock scene- even Melfina and her crazy hairstyle...maybe not Aisha...
whats her problem anyway- other than being an excuse to fitting catgirls into the series? And the endings dont have anything to do with rock
at all?!? Blargh!!

I need to redo my anaylisis.

I need sleep, too.

The first ending song was the greatest. The second simply did not compair. I remember watching Outlaw Star just for the ending theme (and for Jim) I want to go back and watch it now.

I LOVE both Ending themes!! The pure sounds of "Hiru no Tsuki" and the pulse of "Tsuki no Ie" are the first anime songs that I ever TRULY memorized!! 'Course, that was awhile ago. They're probably the only anime songs I sing "okay." 'Course, only DarkHalo would know about that... :)

I finished watching the OS AnimeLegends collection a month or two ago. Man, I missed that show!! Plus, I got to see "Hot Springs Planet: Tenrei" for the FIRST time ever!! (Cartoon Network never aired it... not to mention how edited the show was) It WAS SOOOO FUNNY!!!! With that "new" stuff, added it was like watching the series for the first time... again. *hehehe*

It's all about Sazuka!!! Super tough assassin chick who gets beaten by the dork Gene Starwind because of......   a costume malfunction?? Priceless. ^_^

*A gust of wind blows in a reclusive forum member*

Wow, I haven't been here in forever! Don't know why, but I suddenly wanted to talk Outlaw Star...

The two ending themes are still my favs. I sing them most often of any anime songs. (Only Ghost in the Shell: SAC's opening, Inner Universe, comes close) The more I hear the opening, the more I like it. I really SHOULD rewatch this ... again. *lol*

To expand on the Outlaw Star Universe (I want MORE, dangit!!) ... anyone ever see the spinoff series Angel Links?? Remember Duez(?) and Valeria? They're in that one. I liked that show even if it was short. I liked the op/end themes in that one too.

Don't know why I wanted to post on this one so randomly ... such is the wind. ;)
