(I love you but, Read things carefully ^_^;. Manga finished/anime made in 2000 (That would be Japan), licensed[/]i (That means brought over to America) in 2001, 2002. )
So long as there's Natto on this planet, Japanese got no right to say jack to anybody about food.

I think you should definitely add:

Ergo Proxy

To that list.

Quote
Taken from ANN:

Alternative title:
    エルゴ プラクシー (Japanese)

Age rating: Mature (May contain sex, drugs, and extreme graphic violence)
Genres: Adventure, Horror, Mystery, Psychological, Science Fiction

Plot Summary: In a world where humans and androids, known as autoraves, live in relative peace, there exists a domed city named "Romudo". Under the implementation of complete management control, it is a paradise where feelings are literally discarded, and the governing council dictates the way of life the citizens should live. But this utopian landscape is soon broken by a series of mystifying murders. Lir Mayer, a female inspector from the Citizen Information Bureau, along with her autorave partner Iggy, are tasked to solve the murder cases. She is soon attacked by a creature drawn to her which is neither human nor android, and learns about the mysterious phenomena called "Awakening", an event which draws her further into the case...and to the world beyond the limits of Romudo.

I'm currently on episode 3.  Must do my review before my boss fires me, hehehehe.  Definitely has an amazing storyline that is finally breaking through.

Another recommendation:

Noein

Alternative title:
    ノエイン もうひとりの君へ (Japanese)

Genres: Science Fiction

Plot Summary: Fifteen years in the future, by high-level scientific power, a violent battle takes place between La’cryma, that protects humanity, and Shangri-La, that plans the annihilation of all space-time. The key to stopping Shangri-La’s invasion is a mysterious object known as “the Dragon’s Torque.” A group known as the Dragon Calvary is being sent through space and time to find it. In the present, twelve-year old Haruka and her friend Yuu are contemplating running away from home when they meet a member of the Dragon Calvary named Karasu (Crow). He believes that Haruka has the Dragon's Torque and claims to be Yuu from fifteen years in the future.

Trust me, for these shows it's way to early to be giving out reviews.  I just watched Ergo Proxy ep. 4 raw, and was growing more and more excited about the 2006 spring lineup.

Keeing my eye out for Disgaea, Yume Tsukai, and Ape Escape :P

A few other things on the must watch list.  I wish Mushishi would do something more.  But after reading the manga I know why it's only 20 episodes.

Don't forget, Genshiken Season 2 in October 2006.

*signing off ^_^

[edit]

And now for some breaking news.  Mushishi will have a second season starting in May

Quote
and that's the last episode of Mushishi until May.

Was the credit left on episode 20.  Fans rejoice!

Okay, Disgaea was a bit of a disappointment, but I'll give it one more episode.  However Ouran High School Host Club is seriously what I need.  I love the manga for this series, so it's only natural that I flock to the anime with open arms.  The story of a rich private school that takes in people that can't afford it all the time.  Our unlikely hero*cough* is trying to find a private place to read and accidently stumbles into the Host Club.  After trying to make a quiet and sweet retreat *cough*he backs up into a very expensive vase and winds up busting it.  The Host Club is not so forgiving and locks the student into a 8 million yen debt, which now they have to pay off by becoming a host!  The deal is, get 100 student customers and they will be set free.  But that's not the surprise of the story, not by far.... And I definitely don't want to ruin it.  CHECK OUT OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB!

ARIA: Akari is an "undine"-a gondoleir who ferries people around the beautiful city of Neo-Venezia, on the planet Aqua. As she trains to become a full-fledged member of the Aria Gondolier Company, she meets many people who she takes from place to place on her gondola, and shares in thier problems, hopes, and dreams.

The first season of the anime debuted in  2005-10-05  and ran until to 2005-12-28

'Aria the Natural', the second season debuted in this year's new April Season, a full 26 episodes planned.

Neiter have been licensed by anyamerican companyyet ^_^

(I prefer the manga, but it's pretty and very well done. The studio is Hal Film, which I dont tend to think much of direction-wise, but are always pretty. They've done things like Dear Boys, Saber Marionett, and Uta kata......And Dokuro-chan....O______o....but we'll pass that one)

you know, this list is actually a great idea for a topic........i hate, i just really hate when i miss a series when it's fresh, and then i hear people talk about it, and then i have to go about finding it.......which isn't that difficult, its just a little tedeious.....

not to mention if i dont find out about it after a few years or something, and also you just never know if a series is going to be worth the (sometimes hell) hassle of finding once it's not new........yeah, definitely a great topic........

and just to add......(not that i think these are new or anything)

Gantz........Samurai 7........Texhonlyze........Kai Doh Maru........Basalisk.....

all, really, really great series..........check them out..........

4. Blood+: The television series based off the movie Blood: The Last Vampire.

I thought it was. I have it up to current, but I haven't watched it yet. Watching the goodness that is One Piece. I've watched almost all of it, but there is some stuff in the middle of the series, mainly filler and Skypeia arc that I haven't seen. Although I am current in the manga and have seen the last two arcs completly in the manga.

I'm also currently watching Azumanga Daioh. Good series if you like funny stupid stuff. LOL

Yeah, Ergo Proxy!! (The main gal...looks like Amy Lee of Evanescence doing a DARKER Witch Hunter Robin Cosplay *heh)

I want to see Blood+ and Disgaea, too. (can't think of any others from her list)

and just to add......(not that i think these are new or anything)

Gantz........Samurai 7........Texhonlyze........Kai Doh Maru........Basalisk.....

all, really, really great series..........check them out..........

I've always wanted to see Gantz. What IS Texhonlyze about/like?? (saw the boxed set at BestBuy) Saw the first ep of Basilisk... man, that's sad!! Honestly, I almost wanted to see Speed Grapher more. (Funimation had a preview disk with the first eps of Desert Punk [UGH, that sucked], Basilisk, Trinity Blood, and Speed Grapher.)

*stares* Watch...... Samurai............7. LOVED it!! Okay, okay... I didn't care for the ending, much. But if SOMEone around this forum cosplayed as Kanbei-sama *hinthint* then I think I'd glomp him sooner than Kirara would!! ;)  (Though I'm actually a Katsuhiro fan... and Kikucho.  8) Yeah, loved him and Komachi together *hehehe*)

I need more samurai anime!!!!  Finished the 7, and Rurouni Kenshin... but soon, I'll be done with Samurai Champloo. *sniffles* THEN who will I dream of glomping??? :)

They're both from the even newer-er season (This post is four seasons old at this point (Japan starts a new season every thirteen episodes, even though that's only half a season. That way there's more stuff in circulation and people won’t get bored.)

Anyway, those are both good. Deathnote I thought, was better as manga, just because the anime was SO over the top. Like, I knew Light was King Mr.Crazy pants, but it was just a little too over the top in the anime, to a point where I had to laugh, even though I shouldn't.

Also, laughed when they tried to make writing down names look awesome and super. I'm sorry, just...too...much.
But of course, because it's a great story, with an interesting plot, and characters, it will always be good no matter how over the top. The art was good, but I'm a die hard Takeshi Obata fan, Not even the phantasmal art in the anime can quuuuite do him total justice. Just because it’s him.
Anyone else and it’d be the best anime art in forever.
At least I’m hones about my hypocrite-ness.
All in all, I prefer the manga. It got the message through without making it seen too out there in crazypants land.  Much easier to get the message without the added dramatizations of the Pen swooshing XD.

I have to actually watch D.Gray…or anything else from this new season, but I'm really, REALLY looking forward to it. It's one of my favorite manga, and I'm hoping the anime will love up to it. Again, the art will be hard to top, but we’ll see ^___^

Man, darn college firewall...Diana wants to download (Everyone knows what I'll be doing when I go back home for Thanksgiving 0_0. There won't be one drop of bandwidth left when I get through with it.
