Even cr@ppy dubs? I like dub when it's good, like X the Animation. But if it's crappy like the Naruto dub I'd prefer sub... I dunno though... I've seen crappy fan subs that move too fast to read...

Lucky... I've seen dubs that are so bad, that you'd wish you were deaf so you woudn't have to listen to it...

but then again, you might consider the dubs I have seen to be "crappy."  I beg to differ.  They seem to match the subs fairly well and I believe the voice actors do a marvelous job as well.  But I do not wish to start any arguments here so I will not say which ones I have seen, heh.

Did you ever notice that we have been talking back and forth on several different topics almost non-stop since yesterday? (a stop only to sleep) And we can hold several different discussions on different topics that could be serious or light hearted... it seems natural, and yet when you think about it, several conversations at once should be hard to do, but it's not...

My friend Nick insists that nothing dubbed is any good, but I beg to differ. I think that there is american voice actors/actresses that have real talent and not every Japanese voice actor/actress is a god. I mean I can't imagine watching some of my Favorite anime, for example Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, without Hilary Haag or Kelly Manison

I can't imagine 2040  Priss with any other voice that Akira. 'Cause...She like...sings...Everything.

Anychu, I understand you, There's a few dubbs that sound weird with Japanese people. L/R isn't the same without the Brittish accens. Japanese makes it un...Them...y...
So long as there's Natto on this planet, Japanese got no right to say jack to anybody about food.

This is the neverending battle I choose to avoid.  I'm not a 'purist', I'm not 'oldschool'... I am old.... but that's not the point.  Everytime I see this topic I cringe.  This never ending battle is like which is better.... CHUNKY PEANUT BUTTER OR SMOOTH... and then when Nutella came out, blood was drawn in those battles folks, blood was drawn.

I like both, I watched dubs as a kid.  Both fansubs on VHS, anime... anyway I could get it I did.  Now I buy dvd's I download, and I swap my old fansub tapes.

To each his own is what I say!

Agreed, Frankly whether Sub or Dub is better really depends on the anime and the person.

subs all the way. I like to give the dubs the benefit of the doubt, but if I'm at someone else's house watching Adult Swim (see, I don't have but like 20 or so channels), I won't say no to an American FMA or InuYasha- I take what I get when I can get it.
