Super Smash Bros. Brawl

300+ music soundtrack!  Many have their own original remixes!

Final Fantasy IV, and VI also have a great musical score!

Legend of Zelda- Twighlight Princess also had a one of the best scores in teh history of the series!

Twilight Princess had a few good tracks -- I'd say around ten -- but if you're gonna go for the ZELDAWIN soundtrack, as much as I hate to admit it, that belongs to OoT. I mean, come on. There was a new overworld theme (that everyone was upset about but still!), and a buttload of ocarina tunes, not just the handful that LA had or the one that ALttP had (though ALttP was exceptional as well). XD There was a separate BGM for freakin' EVERYTHING in that game, not to mention it was the first time we heard Link make noise.

Twilight Princess had some awesome stuff, don't get me wrong. The orchestrated version of the *new!* Hyrule Field theme was a total gem, and I really appreciated the redone Serenade of Water. But that was TP's problem, I think, in that it tried to be like OoT a little too much (because that's what Nintendo thinks we want); a lot of its music was referencing older stuff, especially from OoT and ALttP.

Sorry. When Zelda is mentioned I feel compelled to rant. I have to keep telling myself that this isn't a Zelda forum. :p

Oh god, when you stated something about Zelda Fourms, I just thoughjt of the wrost one yet- Zelda Universe.  Please tell me you are not from there!

Yeah, TP was a horrible game.  The only reason I played it was the music and the storyline.  Gameplay and character devlopment was horrid.  And there were some people moaning about Link being right handed.  Okay, who cares?

No, I'm not from ZU. I haunt the Vinculum (because it's gone to hell, which is sad because it was my first forum), and I'm fairly active at The Temple of Light and Linebeck's Legends Place (and I'm also Venus, Queen of Faeries on all three of them). I've become good e-friends, and ocassionally penpals, with the maintainers of the last two.

TP's story wasn't even that good (the dungeons were fun, even if the bosses were mindnumbingly easy). I maintain that the best thing that game had going for it was that it was very pretty... most of the time. How do you screw up rendering Link's face?!

Edit: Now, I'm nowhere NEAR as awesome as Red Comet is when it comes to chronicling the forums, but I found the old Zelda Music thread, if you wanna continue the conversation there, since we're veering off-topic a bit. Then there's the Zelda Debate thread, in which we discussed whether or not Zelda counts as an RPG (our concensus was 'yes'), but unless I'm mistaken, there isn't a pure, general Zelda Discussion thread. Feel free to start one, if you'd like. ^_^

I recently got back into the old Sonic the Hedgehog games for the Sega Genesis. The music in those games is the kind that, while not the best thing on the planet, you recognize the songs right away when you hear them. I find that Robotnik's Theme from Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles brings back painful memories of getting burned to death, crushed to death, drilled to death, etc.

I kinda liked the music to Ace Combat 4. They are not the kind of songs that you can ever remember the tune to, but they were good none the less.

The Ace Attorney (Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice)(aka Gyakuten Saiban)

and also, Eternal Sonata had really good music (an entire game based on a dream of the pianist Frederic Francois Chopin)
Picture is me from Otakon.... I didn't really have any decent pictures at all <_<

Xenosaga episode 2

That song during the battle between Jin Uzuki and his rival(can't remember his name)... The song was sort of weird, but after it grows on you it's becomes sorta addicting.

I'm quick to agree there.  Here I wrote:
"Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was a great game in many ways, including the music.  The music you hear when you first enter Dracula's Castle (fittingly called "Dracula's Castle") is very good.
Even the original Castlevania game had cool music.  The music from stage 5 is permanently burned into my memory because it took me so many tries to get past the Grim Reaper... Man, that boss is tough."

Took me ages to finally kick Death back to Hell in Lament of Innocence. God I hated having to battle him.  :x
