mmm, buck-tick is nice.  I have a huge collection of them as well.

so many others that I have not listed.

I really love Buck Tick.  But I would really love a complete discography of them one day as well.  I have a few albums here and there.  Ahhhh~  Warp Days, what a great song to show the broad spectrum they play with.  I loved Kyoutou (sp?) album.

I actually mostly like Mr.Children, but he doesn't really stick out to me. No idea why. It just didn't grab at me enought to really ever follow, not even casually.
One of my host sisters was planning on like, marrying him or something. It was pretty creepy.
He was like, in this commercial singing about helping children of the world.....I guess 'cause he's Mr. Children, and that was pretty cool.
but for some reason though,  I always imagine him in a clown suit because of it....^^;;;;;
kids, bright outfit....doofy name....CLOWN.

I didn't think revolutionary anywhere in there. Good solid artist though, he won't disappoint anyone.

I haven't listened to too much J-Rock, but I I've liked what I listened to so far.  I have all three of the L'arc~en~Ciel CDs, and have been to two Peelander-Z concerts(at Anime Next 04 and Anime Next 05), complete with human bowling(yes that's right, human bowling!).

Right now, I'm listening to the D'espairsRay CD I bought at their concert I attended at this year's Anime Next.  They were definitely one of those bands that were as good on the CD.  Though, in my opinion, they sounded even better than that.

After waiting for an hour in line and sitting through two opening acts--both were local bands--they finally came on stage at 12:15 AM.  After listening two a couple of their songs, I was impressed and was dancing away!  Hizumi--the lead singer--had us chant along with several of their songs which got everyone into the music.  The guitarists were pouring water into the audience, which drove the front row people crazy(I was near the back)!

When it was over, everyone wanted more, and so did I.  We chanted "D'espairs Ray," over and over.  At first, our attempt was fading away, but more people caught on, and the audience was shouting away! They came back on to perform four more songs (which surprised me since all the encores I've ever seen were one or two at best), which drove the aufience crazy!

As soon as it was all over, I bought their CD from the stand right away.  Then, I went back to my hotel room with shot ears, but in a hyper mood.  I wish I could have taken pictures, but photography was not permitted.  Still, I was just impressed that they were that great of a band and had the opportunity to see them! This was definitely one group worth staying up late for!

- Exist Trace*
- Shounen Knife*
- Danger Gang*
- Miyavi
- Gackt
- The Gazette
- Dir en Grey
- The Pillows

And I like some songs by L'Arc en Ciel.  Of course there's more to my list...but I can't think of anymore at the moment.  D'oh!  I hate when that happens...you need to make a list, but can't think of anything to add  :s

I don't get to listen to a lot of J-rock/pop. Most of what I hear comes from anime openings and shtuff. But I do like L'Arc~en~Ciel, Dir en gray, Utada Hikaru, Porno Graffitti, Okina Reika, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Those are the only ones I really remember well.

I heard L'Arc is coming out with a new CD sometime this fall.
Mics are for singing, not swinging.

When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot. So, what the hell, leap!

I've just recently gotten into Abingdon Boys School, the singer from T.M.R.evolution's the lead vocals.  Great band from what I've heard so far, they did the opening Innocent Sorrow from D.Gray Man.

Have you guys been reading up on the arrest of Dynamite Tommy?
Info can be found here:  http://phantasmagoria.livejournal.com/295493.html

From JaME:

Koichi Kaku, a former official of Asatsu-DK Inc., a advertising agency based in Tokyo, was recently arrested, along with two other people, for fraud. Hiroshi Tomioka (also known as Tommy Dynamite), president of Free-Will music production, and Kazunori Murasaki, a former Free-Will official, were the other two involved in cheating the agency out of 324 million yen (about $2.4 million) in 2001. The three associates covered themselves by passing the funds off as those required for producing videos for artists such as Dir en grey, but instead, outsourced the projects to subcontractors.

It is unclear how exactly these events may or may not affect bands such as Dir en grey, RENTRER EN SOI, and others affiliated with Free-Will and its sub-labels.

Yeouch! I had not heard that. I hope it doesn't affect the music too much, because the bands don't really deserve that because their advertisers are cheats.

Some ticket sales for certain venues have been suspended.  I know Dir en grey CDs can't be found on shelves in Japan at the moment, but I don't know what that means.

And this is affecting more than Diru, of course.  All bands associated with Free-Will.  But hopefully the fans will stick by them and keep on supporting them.

Gosh, that sounds pretty bad. I hope things get better. Really sucks for all the bands in Free Will.
Does this mean anything for Free Will America?

I was about that close to the stage too. The encore was awesome, but I was wiped, could barely walk after all the jumping and moshing with my friends.
Did you go Fri or Sat? I went Saturday. I even got Miya's guitar pick he threw. ^.^ <3
