Oooh.  I've been wanting to read Othello for a long time but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Oh yes, I love Dramacon!! Volume 2 just came out, but I was... almost disappointed in it. The first one was SOOOoo magnetic. The second was good too, just... I don't know. The ending was kind of bittersweet. I just wish number 3 would come out soon.

I haven't read either of Kaori Yuki's manga, but the art looks really good. :)

Othello... I'm curious about. Could someone tell me about it?

lol imagine if the incredible hulk were a shoujo manga....then you have Othello

basically, the plotline is about an extremely shy girl and her "friends", by which i mean
"opportunistic pains in the you-know-what" who ridicule her constantly...until ONE DAY...

"Haha, loser!"
"youre not being nice...youre making me upset"
"..."
"yOu wONt lIkE mE WHen Im uPseT!!!!" *schizophrenic rage*
>_<

but yeah, as in most all shojo, there is a love triangle between the main character's 2 personalities
and the cute guy who sings in a Led Zeppelin cover band. Hilarities ensue as the guy and girl try
to suppress the main characters alterego. Actually, not so much hilarity as a LOT of drama.
Bound to be a heartwarmer. One of my personal faves- worth a read.

Othello was being published by Del Rey Started in 2004, and I think they finished early in 2006.

There's 7 books I think? Anyway, Del Rey does (in my opinion) the best job manga-wise, and I don't think I've read anything they've licensed that I didn't like. They do my absolute favorite titles (Them and VIZ pretty much, although viz gets a little too edit-happy.)

I loved Othello! My friend was collecting it and I'd borrow them from her in our Genetics class... Mr. Teacher-man didn't like that though >.>;;

I've read Red River (which, to me, is a lot of Fushigi Yuugi), and Genbu Kaiden.  That one's actually pretty popular considering it came from Watase-sama.

A truly underated shoujo series is Suki, a Like Story by CLAMP.  Its a three volume manga series that no one I've ever asked has even heard of.  Its such a good story...

I saw someone mention it before... Angel Sanctuary is LOVE AND WIN!!!

OH!OH!

I've read some of Suki, a Like Story!!

I don't think I read all three volumes though... maybe just the first two.

I actually got the chance to read Clover yesterday... amazing, it was just amazing.

I've heard good things about Clover.  Isn't it another short series??  Four volumes or something?  I can't remember...

I think it was unfinished? I'm not very sure, but I'd believe that, it did leave you with an unfinished feeling. But what was done was wonderful! Not to mention the way it was done! I haven't read another manga that used blank space so wonderfully like they did in Clover, lovely, lovely.

It also left me teary-eyed, like much of CLAMP's stuff does.

Mmm, I'm pretty sure its finished, just has a weird ending  (Going off what a friend told me).  CLAMP's work hits me hard at home, lol

Have you read The One I Love?  It was a one volume thing with a bunch of short stories in it.  Very thin, but very awesome.

I mentioned Angel Sanctuary. I'm so sad because its over ; ;. I have Vol 19 and 20 (the last two) and i carry them around with me but I'm sad and I don't want it to be over. It was the first manga that I bought back in freshman year. /sigh such fond memories.

I know  D:  I cried so freaking bad.  I love that series so much!  Its fantastic!  When I first started reading it I was kinda weary, but then it lost a lot of the ideas/concepts from the first volumes as it got deeper into the plot.  Know what I'm saying?

And the ending...bleck.  Its what I expected, but not what I wanted.  Yuki-sama said she'd had another "sad" ending planned out, but decided not to upset the devoted fans  xD  I flip through volumes 1 and 20 every day.  Its amazing how far along she came just in one series  O.O

(Funny thing is my mother picked out that manga for me  xD)
