The Case of the Missing Topics

If you have (or haven't) noticed, several topics have gotten deleted in the last hour or so. I know a lot of you weren't on at the time, but the reason for this is because we've been having a little bit of a flamer problem as of late. ^_^; Some spamming ensued, and not very 'family-friendly' spamming at that. (No, Dustin... I don't think even you would have liked any of that stuff).

Regrettably because of this, our friendly neighborhood admin and mods had to delete several threads. For this they apologize, but say that it was a matter of necessity. If you notice that your thread is missing, please feel free to restart it. Because, as you know, if you let threads die, the terroris-I mean flamers-win. ^_~

Edit: Okay guys, Michael-san and Whispers-san apologize, but they had to take down the use of picture posting in threads and signatures for an indeterminate length of time. Some people just don't have respect and common courtesy towards others, I'm afraid. But we can deal with it, right? ^_^

yeah cant let those people get the best of us. i laugh ridiculously at their closed minded antics. such decadence will eventually be handled in its own way.

The threads may have been deleted, but the record of them has not been. I know it's tedious, but if you check the past couple of posts you made (via the "search" function, and use your name as the author), you can see which topics you posted in, and therefore, at least recover the spirit of the lost files.

I completly missed whatever happened, though this does explain why several topics have a blank space in the "last post" field. Anyway, good to know the mods around here are up to snuff. ^^

I'm pretty new to forums, so I really wasn't sure what happened. I mean, I remember checking those the other day... I must've missed out on the flamers.

I restarted the NDK thread in the Request Piano Squall section, because we really do want him to be there, if he can make it.

I feel sad they had to delete the "Dear Denver Kunicon Friends" thread, though. Michael started that one. *sniffles* Why'd the flamers/spammers have to ruin it for us!!

Maybe I'm naive because I haven't been a member of many forums (I was/still am a moderator of a mailing list and had to deal with it a couple of times... just not lately) ... but this really urks me. Do people think it's funny??

I just realized the blank "last posted" fields list the last posting date as December 31st, 1969. Darn, that means my "Celebrate the End of the Vietnam War!" post got deleted,too! And also my "Have You Guys Seen This 'Pong' Thing? It's AMAZING." post.

Remember when Mike performed at Woodstock? And then him and Jimmy Hendrix played Maro Kart until the wee hours of the morning? Good times.

Since they're signing on as 'Guest,' do you think we might be able to block guests from posting?
I don't know if that works or not, or would even be a solution if we could, but I mean...This is really kinda...Meh.

#1: It's been taken care of, so we shouldn't let it ruin our day, ne? ^^ Yelling about the person here is probably what he/she wanted us to do. I say don't give him/her the pleasure.

#2: Oh man...Michael-san at Woodstock... Those were the days, huh? XD!!!

#3: He/she didn't sign on as a guest. They had an ID, but I believe Whispers-san trashed it, thusly it turned into "guest". ^_^
