I haven't watched that anime, but I do read a webcomic that is based off of it (or so it says)..  I don't have the link with me since I'm at work study however.

You mean that scary Nana comic by the person who does Tomoyo42's Room? u.u;; *shudder*

I've seen the first episode of Elfen Lied.....wow. Decapitation and naked mutant killing machine turned cute horned girl. That was a smack to the face.

Yes--it is kind of odd..  But I do find it interesting.

It's an excellent series and the opening song "Lilium" is beautiful.

i got to see the first epsiode (in rather poor quality) on the video google thingy.

as much as i was disturbed by all the gore... naked-ness... and that whole peeing on the floor scene... i want to see the rest of the series.

simply because i, personally, have never seen an anime like this before.

i was a little surprised to see such a lovely opening sequence though.
Aggro is a term from massively multiplayer games that is, in essence, a measurement of how much monsters hate you. I always had a feeling they were pretty mad, but I didn't know who they were mad at or exactly how much.

The most horribly dark and gruesome anime Ive ever seen in my life. And I thought Kite was bad....Elfen Lied is worsened by the flip-flopping between happy household drama and deathbloodytorturedeathdismembermentblooddeath

It only seems fitting that a requiem should be the main theme of the series.

However, the opening theme of the song is the only piece of music from the series that I found striking-there are many
other songs that borrow the melody and theme of "Lilium"- and perhaps it is best; It is a brilliant piece of music. Ive been in choir
for 12 years and Ive heard and sang enough Kyrie Eleisons that theyre coming out my ears, but "Lilium" captivated me- perhaps because
of my relating it to the feeling of the anime, perhaps due to its simplicity in comparison to other pieces of the genre- and has become one
of my favorite pieces of anime music. This is definately a song I would like to see in one of Piano Squall's shows.
"Let music never die in me! Forever let my spirit sing! Whereever emptiness is found, let there be joy and glorious sound!"

Oh my gawrsh, Elfen Lied is one of my TOTAL favorite anime EVER IN  THE WORLD. Not only is the story intruiging, but the beautiful music just seems to make it all flow together, though I do have to admit that it's the goriest, nudest anime I've ever seen. xD
Lilium really is a gorgous piece for the ears, I have it on my Ippid-Chan Mp3 player... ♥♥♥

Argh, the forums ate my previous post.  I don't want to write that all again!

So yeah, here's the chibi version of my post.

Yay Elfen Lied.  Great Show!  In the top 5 anime for me!

Anyone interested in seeing it, my college's anime club (http://www.stevens.edu/anime/) is doing a Halloween marathon of it on October 27th.  Hoboken NJ (right across the river from NYC).  Be there or be lame!

Yay I'm not the only one who has seen it! Lilium is the greatest and saddest song ever. The anime was great, the story was awesome and I felt hella sorry for Lucy...Is there a place where I can post my elfen lied fanart? Oh cant forget the saint version of lilium.
