It is a shounen-ai anime.  So for the people out there who love yummy boys this one is for you!!  I love the anime and manga.  The manga is more explicite with the boy love.  TeeHee!! I love it.  The music is way cool.

Anybody know what other shounen-ai anime has been made?  Whenever I hear talk about shounen-ai I hear Gravitation this and Gravitation that, but never anything else.  I'm not bashing Gravitation (I can't really say too much because this is one of those animes where I've only seen the first episode), I'm just curious as to what else there is.

Haha, I don't think it's entirely accurate, but apparently I am Nakano Hiroshi. ^_^ Maybe a mix of him, Shuichi and Ryuichi, I think.

I'm not a big Shonen Ai/Yaoi fan (being a straight male and all) but I have to reccomend Loveless to people who enjoy that stuff. It's a new show only up to about episode four right now, and you can get it on fansub (check Animesuki.com or Baka-updates.com) and it's shockingly good. I DLed it not realizing it was yaoi, and then when I realized what it was I watched anyway, cause it was so well done.  Plus, everyone has kitty ears for no good reason. That's gotta count for something.

I have never seen Gravitation but at Anime Boston they had an insanly hilarious video of it to a song called "If You Were Gay," which, appropriatly enough, turned out to be from a broadway musical.

On Loveless, I'd totally watch it if it would download (Kreg's been all like WHEEEEE about it and I'm like...Well okay. And he's all like OMG FWEEEE I'm SO watching Shounen Ai and I'm like…Why, Yes, you are... So proud *sniffies* So I wanna be all like NWEEEEEE too).... Bit torrent or something's been on the fritz...First stupid codecs, now...Whatever is wrong....I can't even tell if the Codec thing works.

But, I see lot of Loveless things at the Anime place, and everyone really seems to like it (Although, not as popular as Kyou Kara Maou). I like the character designs and the CD's are selling fast.
Looks like fun, I'll see if I can get dad to download and send it over.
I'd buy it...But really, My family would probably be like "Nuhg?" and...Well....You know, I don't QUUUUIIIITE speak Japanese...Or, Not enough to happily watch anime in a crowded house....

I remember watching Gravitation and liking it okay.  I mean, I'm a straight guy and all, but it was a funny show, and the music is fun too.

I want to see this "If You Were Gay" AMV, Wyvern - Avenue Q is a hilarious musical.  In the same musical is this great song called "The Internet Is For Porn" - so much fun.

Gravitation is not yaoi, it's shounen-ai! Yaoi would be the Gravitation Remix doujinshi. x.x;;

Not to be argumentative, but I have heard yaoi used as an inclusive term to refer to any type of anime/manga dealing with male-male relationships, even if that isn't the original meaning of the word.  I believe it's something like the word otaku - it started taking on a slightly different meaning in the Western world.  If you really want to delve deeply into the origin of this word, it's an acronym that stands for "yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi" which translates to "no peak, no point, no meaning".  That was what it said in the "Gravi Dictionary" section of the website that SagaciousSprite mentioned above.  Here is the full quote:
"YAOI - an acronym that stands for "yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi (no peak, no point, no meaning)." The term is generally used to indicate explicit and graphic homosexuality between two males. YAOI is mainly directed at a more mature audience, usually NC-17. YAOI can also be used to generalize the entire shounen-ai genre."

you wouldn't belive how much me and Shuichi-san have in in clmon I get stage fright when i sing, and every time i'm over my best friend's house i get hurassed by her seven year old sister! (so ok maybe we don't have that much in clmon) but i love to sing and he's the lead singer for Bad Luck!
