I have both of their cds. There are a couple that I really like, but overall I think it is average.

I prefer the acoustic, orchestrated versions as opposed to the electric rock sound.

Dear Friends concert version CD is coming out soon. I bought the other one and I was so excited, then popped it into my cd player, chose track for Matoya's Cave and heard 8 bit nintendo music. I was like awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I will buy the concert one though. I've bought so many squaresound cds.

Wish I didn't miss the concerts, didn't know about them. boooooo

Live?! That is awesome, I loved their rendition of J-E-N-O-V-A definately one of my favorites
Part of me suspects I'm a loser, the other part thinks I'm God Almighty

As much as I like the black mages.  I love the minibosses more!  Why, because they are friends of the area.  They played my bestfriend Crystals birthday in her wherehouse.  They played numerous house parties.  I saw them when they recorded the Lucky Dragon live, and with fangirl delight I've gotten to talk to them numerous times.  They were good friends of my friends which allowed me to *get into bars* without I.D. at the time.  I know they used to live in this apartment not to far from me in Tempe which was just awesome to know.  They rocked like no tomorrow live.  I'm definitely happy to see the love and support for them today is still fresh and alive.

Blackmages are yummy to listen to, the battle music peices they've assimilated to rock were really good choices to do so with.

<--- Loves the Black Mages

I actually turned my friends on to them by blasting it as loud as I could lol

My favorite song currently has to be Battle with the Four Fiends (which is on the second cd)

...yeah. I like the orchestrated versions too, but sometimes you just get the urge to rock out (and you can't really do that with an orchestra XP)

Mmm.. Black Mages... Im so proud of them *-*

Personally, my favorite Black Mages songs are:
Clash on the Big Bridge (Pretty much the best or 2nd best FF5 song... The keyboard guy r00lz!)
Force your Way (Adding electric guitars to the original song sounds great!)
J-E-N-O-V-A (simply omg)
Those who Fight Further (Although it doesnt sound too different, its still awesome!)
Seymour Battle (Theres something about that song that makes me love it >_>)
The Man with the Machine Gun (Anybody noticed theres a part of "The Legendary beast" song annexed in it?)
Battle with the Four Fiends (Great song Indeed... the beginning sounds heavy as hell!)
The water/wind elemental fanplayer... rriiiiiight....
