The band produced and formed by Uematsu of course! It's a shame he wanted to put more time to this band so he left Squeenix   :cry:

yea i never thought FF music performed by a band - guitar, drums, keyboard and all - would sound that good! 1st time i listened to them, all doubts were just banished away =)

do u know the name of the general battle song for ffix? like, for FFVIII it's 'Don't Be Afraid'. can't find it in my friend's Melodies Of Life soundtrack. tot u'd know. and do u know if black mages have a version of it too?

Well, that's not true for a start. Him leaving Square Enix had very little to do with The Black Mages, since most of the members actually work for Square Enix and haven't quit.

f1v3p3t4ls the name of the song is "Battle 1" it is Track 18 on Disc 1 of the FFIX Original Soundtrack.

The Black Mages Rawk 8) ...I highly recommend The Skies Above, and the battle music from FF7 and FF8!

oh do u guys know if the black mages did the random battle song for FFVII too? (okay I don't know the title for that one too)

i've only heard the battle songs of FFVIII by them...and they sound so good!

Oh I just listened to the Black Mages' version of Vamo `all Flamenco! It's awesome! I love the improvisation they did in the middle part of the song

i was shocked to see two battle themes
1: the final boss music from final fantasy 4
2: the elemental feinds boss music from ff4
 
oh and the old witch from ff1 i like that one as well
