Actually... I got into RPGs because of one. My boyfriend was playing Parasite Eve and said, "here, play for me while I'm in the bathroom."

I figured, what the heck. I mean, I've played other games before. Like Super Mario Bros/Duckhunt. And then I had my little Duke Nukem obsession ever since the first side scrolling one...

Then he came out, "Okay, I'm back."

"Hold on, I've almost got this boss."

*lol* And so I started my RPG list with that game being the first. Heck, I only just beat Parasite Eve the day I graduated highschool in 2001.

Yeah, that's a lot for 4 years. But lets just say my boyfriend and I were geeks that liked gaming all weekend. He even set up two tvs so we could play at the same time! *lol* (He has all systems, I only own gamecube/gba... but I love Playstation's selection)

Besides, ShikamaChu, any gamer knows... bathroom breaks can wait because not all FMVs have a pause feature!! *lol*

Yeah, Venus, I've never played either Harvest Moons past 4 years. As far as I knew... that's when they ended! And so... I moved on to Animal Crossing. It never ends!!!! (Last time I played it was .... October 29th, though. All my villagers must be really ticked.)

There are so many games/rpgs that I want to play... but I've seen them beaten so many times that I still remember the plot twists. Like in Star Ocean:The Second Story and Grandia2. My boyfriend and his best friend played those at the same time, so I decided to pass until I forgot... which still hasn't happened. So, I get my SO fix from the Star Ocean EX anime. Why didn't they finish it?!??!

Ick... I hate to post spoilers. ;-;

In A Wonderful Life, there's a little old woman, Nina, who lives in town with her husband. She's really easy to spot from a distance because she's got a hat that looks like a ladybug (red with black spots). After the first year, you get married, and there's a cutscene of you introducing your new wife to the whole town (like they didn't already know who she was... she lived there longer than you did. But I guess you have to introduce her as your wife, which would make me upset because that means I wasn't invited to the wedding. How cheap. I digress).

I can't remember if she's there, but the next day (the first day of the second year), I was walking around town, and there was this big rock outside a shack. Okay... I went to check it out, and it said something like "Nina is resting here." So I SCREEEEEAMED cuz that was the last thing I was expecting. And Nina was so friendly, too... ;-; Then her husband came by later to visit her grave. Oh man. And if you follow him inside the shack, he's got all her stuff in there: a picture of her and even her hat hanging on the wall.

So sad..... ;-;

Awww, that's too bad, I love Nocturne! It's evil Pokemon....

I admit, I'm stuck in it! Stupid Matador with his stupid 3 attacks.... *grrrrr* I bought the guide offline and everything! But it says I need an ugly monster that I don't want! I want my cool monsters... I've become as attached to them as my pokemon! The only real problem with the monster system in that game is fusion. It's great to make more powerful/cooler monsters... but you're only allowed so many at a time and only one of each type.

Yeesh, so much for convincing you to try it...

Then again, I believe any choke point in an RPG can be overcome with hours of leveling up. (Stupid Dragon Warrior 7... even you fell!)

Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne is finished! my count is up to 45 (remembered robotrek thanks to moglin) and I found a stray copy of FF anthologies so ffv and ffvi are on the to-do list!

I didn't even count mmorpg's. Because they resemble crack cocaine more than they resemble normal RPG's. I've played FFXI and WoW, and now I'm playing GW. I need to break this terrible habbit.

you can't break the habit Otakreg. it is like you say.........crack..........sweet, musical, great story filled, battle glory, magic using, monster summoning, time stealing crack.

and you have given into the slow chemical many times(hell of alot of games you have on your list).

*blinks* I have a sudden urge to listen to White Reflection... (That's a song from Gundam Wing... don't you know what Guild Wars is??!!) Oh yeah, heh.

Stupid, stupid Matador. Yeah, he's hard. He has around 3 actions his first "turn." Two of which enhance his attack and dodge, I think. So, you have to cancel that bonus. I can do that with the main character. After awhile, I think I beat him enough because he suddenly ups the anti and wipes me out in as little as one turn!!! Grrr... must... buy slim PS2... and ... level... up!!!

I only have a dialup connection, so I could never play an MMORGP. Plus, I tend to stay away from drugs alcohol.  But if they made a .hack one... then whoo boy, I'd be tempted!!!

I didn't even mention my other games like the Prince of Persias, God of War (played the demo, still need to play my copy but am worried I'll be addicted), and Metroid Prime (stupid ghosts... and elemental pirates..)

Not to mention my Soul Calibur2 obsession. (Weapon's Master Mode reminds me of an RPG.... or maybe FFTactics since all you do is battle, really!)

*heh* I played that in the KuniconDenver game room for an hour or so straight. It was funny... guys walking up going, "So, you know how to play or are you just a button masher??"

They're just lucky I felt like rotating characters every fight... else I would have been even more phenomenal with Taki!! Luckily, there was much more for me to do... else I would have worn out my thumb. *hehe*

Though they're not an RPG, anyone ever play the old school sidescrolling Duke Nukem's?? I loved those so much!!! Wish I could find them somewhere.

RPGs are my love. Story, story, story and characters, characters, characters!! I remember when I started out I needed to use the "wait" turn based battle system only. *shudders* (Stupid Dragon Warrior 7) Now, I want rpgs with action!! I need to play Kingdom Hearts so badly....
